Hi! I'm new here!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Dawn, and I have three cats. Marley is the oldest at 2 1/2. She was my mom's cat. I took her because my mom never had her spayed. She kept putting it off until Marley went into heat. Then she just said she'd do it right after her heat. Well she was still putting it off, and when marley was pregnant, she "didn't have the heart". So marley had kittens. When they were 8 weeks old, I took her in myself and had her spayed. Then I brought her with me when I moved out. She seemed lonely, so I "borrowed" her 8 month old kitten that my parents kept from the litter, to keep her company. I just never returned him . Willie is now about a year and a half. Rueben is a shelter kitty. I went looking for a kitten, and he was the only one out, he was 3 or 4 months old, and pure black. So, naturally, I picked him up while looking at all the cuter, younger kittens in cages. I couldn't put him down. I don't usually like black cats, but he's stunning, and has the most wonderful personality! He's just a cuddlebug! He usually won't sleep on my bed, because my dog will chase him off. But last week, when I was sick, he slept snuggled up against me all night long every night. Didn't even mind when I cuddled him like a teddy bear.

In addition to the three spoiled kitties, I also have a Dog, Gypsy (border collie/aussie). 3 chinchillas, Sammy, Sylvester, and Lexi. 2 guinea pigs, Toby and Blake. And a cockatiel, Joey.

I'm so glad I found this board, adn I look forward to hearing from everyone and their kitties!

Welome to the site Dawn! Your kitties are all very pretty and they look so happy on thier tree. Black cats have a way of working their way into your heart. I have a black kitty boy, too, and Trent is just the love of my life.

I look forward to getting to know you and your menagerie on the boards. Although this is officially a cat site, we love all animals so feel free to post pics and talk about all of your pets.

I love all my animals, but I am partial to dogs too! I love showing off my babies. Here's the Yip Dog (Gypsy)

And a couple of the chinchillas. This is Sylvester and Lexi. Sylvester only has three legs, he broke one as a baby and you can't really cast a chinchilla, so it had to be amputated. I don't think he misses it.
