I do understand this, you clip the nails then apply the soft claws? Want to make sure I'm clear on that.

Thanks!

What do people think of these? Have heard mixed feelings about whether they upset cats or prevent them moving properly. Any positive or negative expriencesthoughts?

My 14 year old cat has been wearing them since she was about 2 years old.
Never had a problem with them.
She walks fine, she can retract her claws normally.

She hates getting them put on, but then, she hates her feet to be touched.

Not at all. Misunderstanding about them is widespread in the UK, and there is a lot of false information and supposition going around. They are tiny plastic caps which, if the correct size is used, doesn't have any ill effect on the cat whatsoever. They fit in such a way that the cat can still splay and retract his claws as normal, they don't affect walking in the slightest, and the cat still exhibits his normal 'stropping' and scratching behaviour. The only thing they do is provide a little rounded tip to the claw instead of a sharp one.
Some cats will remove the first ones you put on, just because they aren't used to them yet, not because they hurt or are uncomfortable.

You need to clip the sharp point off the claw off before applying them, and they will come off naturally when the claw sheath is shed. Hope that helps

Thank you for letting me know. I have 2 kittens and 3 adults I want to use these for. 4 out of 5 are used to me playing with their feet so I imagine I shouldn't have too many problems with them. China, on the other hand, I may have her Daddy do hers. LOL

I am from England but currently live in Yorktown V
I out these on today after my husband got angry at Mellow using his claws to climb up the back of the couch, we had bought them and they were just sitting in the cabinet, as it seemed he wasnt to distructive with his claws, Hubby is all for getting declawed! but I said NO WAY

I first tried holding him in between my legs but I realised I couldnt put them on his claws and hold him, so hubby ended up holding his back legs while I did his front claws, he cried because he was being restrained but that was his only discomfort, 2 claws have come off since I put them on but I think thats because I didnt use enough glue, as I was being too cautous, they deffinatly dont seem to bother him!

Does anyone do the back claws as well? I just did his front ones

Thanks

I only apply to front claws.
Back claws don't really have the same curvature to them.
