I bought vaccines for my three kittens from the local feed store and administered them. But now I'm worried they might not have receive the complete vaccines? Does anyone know if this particular vaccine is supposed to come in two vials (liquid and powder) that are supposed to be mixed together? Cause they only gave me a liquid vial. I bought 2 of the 3in1 vaccine and 1 5in1.

I bought a vaccine for our kitten, not fort dodge but another brand, and it came with 2 vials (the liquid and powder). Did the instructions say that you needed to mix the two vials. Usually the instructions will tell you to mix the liquid with the powder and shake well before administering.

I was trying to check online but I couldn't find out if there was suppose to be two bottles. Is there an 800 number on the package or try calling the store you bought them from and asking them if there are suppose to be two seperate vials with the vaccination.

I found a little bit about them but the directions I found just say AVOID FREEZING and SHAKE WELL nothing about adding a liquid to a powder. I would definetely contact the company just to be sure.

I bought them from a feed store who buys them in bulk so they dont come with box or instructions. I looked online too. I found the number for fort dodge so im gonna try calling them tomorrow to ask. I did ask at the feed store cause i was surprised it didnt come with a powder but they said this one just doesnt come with a powder vial. I dont completely trust them though so i need to find out for sure. Thanks for responding

You put the syringe in the liquid, draw it out, and then put the syringe in the powder and push it in. Take the syringe out, shake up the two mixed together, and then administer the vaccine. The liquid will do nothing, if not mixed with the powder. The powder is the real vaccination, but needs to be in the liquid to be administered.

I just called Fort Dodge and they verified that this particular vaccine should already be in liquid form and ready to administer. No powder to mix it with. I sure feel better now
