Best litter for tracking?

I've searched the threads but still can't find an answer to my question. We just got new tiles in our bathroom, and since we keep a litter box in there, I'm wondering what the best litter to minimize tracking is?

Our old tiles got a little scratched up from the cats tracking litter all over it (but I didn't care because those tiles were ugly). We normally use Target brand scoopable litter. Do you think I should try some type of crystal litter? My cats aren't picky about litter so I think they would use any kind. Thanks!

ETA: We already have covered litter boxes with mats on the floor at the opening. I also use the dustbuster every day for tracked litter, but I want to keep our new tiles as nice as possible for as long as I can.

I have Tidy cats w/ Tidy Lock and while it gets tracked every where I don't think it would scratch tile. I don't think it would matter what type I used because Wickett is a digger and he has a huge amount of fur on his paws and between his toes so all the litter gets caught in his fur and end up every where... even our bed!

That's probably worth a try, thanks. We now have 4 litter boxes since Emily had a UTI awhile ago (we used to have 3 boxes) so I wouldn't mind buying more expensive litter for the one box in the bathroom. The rest are on carpet.

Feline Pine shouldn't scratch tile and since it is pellets, tracking is limited to a few easily swept up pellets. No dust either.

I use Swheat Scoop. It doesnt track all that much and it is natural.
there is no dust like with clay cat litter but yet has the granuals(sp) like clay cat litter. It is fairly cheap plus, its flushable. I tried to use feline pine but my kitten would only play with it and try to eat it so i couldnt. Also if you have older cats they might not like the pellets of feline pine.
i loooooooove it.

Thanks!

I agree about the Swheat Scoop. We started using because litter was being tracked everywhere. Now with the Swheat Scoop we have very little tracking. What little does get tracked is easy to clean up and does not scratch our wood floors. It also has helped with the smell a lot. We love it!

If you decide you like the Feline Pine I highly recommend their two part litterbox also. The pellets disintegrate into sawdust when wet. So cleaning out the box entails scooping out the solid waste and shaking the box to sift the sawdust to the bottom. With their two part box the top part has holes so the sawdust sifts down into the lower part. So after scooping and shaking you have only fresh unused litter left in top. Daily scooping is a breeze!

I like much!

Thanks everyone! I was at Target this weekend and they had Swheat Scoop so I picked up a box to try.
