Yesterday my landlord's dad asked me to come by his farm he had some fresh okra for me. Fresh as just cut off the plant yesterday. So I was wondering what are some different healthy ways I can cook them. I know I can boil them but are there any other ways other than deep frying them (yuck).

I did find a lovely recipe for stir fried okra I may try tonight. Only me and the youngest like it around here so we don't have it often.

Here in about a month or so I will be able to get some fresh squash, cucmbers, hot peppers and bell peppers.

Actually the ONLY way I can eat that stuff is to bread and deep fry - anything else is really "slimy" and gross to me

I once knew a cat named Okra, so I would appreciate a little more sensitivity and discretion when you people talk about "frying Okra". Your dietary habits are your own business; I just don't need to hear about it. Regards.
