Besides your kitties or beloved humans, what would you rather live without for a year?

I'd like to see if I can live with out TV for a year. In fact, I'm now limiting myself on it. I've realized that I watch way too much and that it doesn't leave time for other things.

EDIT: In my defense Suzie hadn't put up the poll when I was doing my post.

Dishwasher is the only one on that list that is not a necessity for me. I'd rather have it, but if I had to choose, I could hand wash my dishes.

That was easy for me dishwasher because I already do not use the one I have.

That was too easy. I just got a dishwasher for the first time in years! Well, since I lived at home. So, I'm used to washing dishes by hand. I still do that half the time anyway! Now, if you had included TV in there, I really would have had to think about it!

Realistically, as much as I would love to give up the car for a year, there would be no way for me to get to work unless I left 2 hours earlier every morning. I definitely would be fit though

So I could give up the dishwasher. I do my dishes by hand first anyways then the dishwasher is just added assurance that the dishes are clean. We don't have one of those fancy powerful ones that we don't have to pre-clean.

Dishwasher all the way. I always had to do dishes by hand until a little over a year ago when I moved into an apartment. Dishwashers frustrate me... You have to clean the dishes first and then the whole wash/dry cycle takes forever... I could have the dishes washed, dried, and put away with 30 minutes to spare, compared to how long the dishwasher takes. Plus its loud!

There's no place like home
I just had the true test. I had my kitchen and utility room remodeled over the winter and could have been without a fridge, washer/dryer and dishwasher for 6 months. I moved the fridge to the garage cause I couldn't live without that. We had the workers replumb/rewire the lines to the washer/dryer immediately and I told them that I couldn't live without those for more than 1 week. I washed dishes in the bathtub for 6 months. I live so far out that there is no way to give up my car.

So bag the dishwasher. And as others suggested, had you thrown TV in there, it would have been a more challenging question for me.

I don't have a dishwasher...so I chose Fridge. Mine usually only has condiments in it anyway.

Easy choice.

Well we don't even own a dishwasher. In our other house we had one and never used it. So I don't miss it at all. The only time it would come in handy would be if you had a party/holiday with more then the normal family in the house.

DH and I do the dishes together every nite
..........by hand!

Actually the real test would be to give up the computer for a year!

Well, MY car ('75 super beetle) is still not running... we have to do an engine swap. So for now, I don't drive. But I still couldn't live without my baby beetle, lol. Out of the rest of those, I'd much rather live without the dishwasher.
