hi everyone

lookin for a little advice. my 7 month old girlies get outside to play during the day but are kept in at night for the time being. they seem to sometimes come back inside specifically to use their tray then go out again! has anyone else had this problem and how could i let them know that they can go outside rather than create a stink indoors? hehe

Personally, I'd encourage them to use the tray indoors. That way you can keep an eye on what they're doing and notice if there are any problems. If the tray stinks maybe a different litter will help (or cleaning it more often). There's no need for it to stink.

If the trays are scouped regularly and new litter replaced often then they shouldn't smell.

I have 3 litter trays and scoup twice a day and i have no problem?.

I also use a litter deodoriser powder which smells of pine that i mix in.

My cats have done that - play outside for ages, then come in a poop. They are so civilized, and want their nice clean boxes rather than getting their paws dirty!

I agree - would rather know when and where they were going when coming inside then to not know outside. You cannot monitor a problem if eliminating outside.

And I do hope your girls are spayed
