...but don't have a machine (nor does anyone I know).

Do you think I can send one from Staples? Or does anyone know of any other places I can FAX from? It's to apply for a job....

You can send one from Kinko's or any other copy place. Also, if all else fails try the local library. They may have one that you can use.

Fooo.....we don't have a kinko's around here for 60 miles anymore! I'm gonna break out the phone book and look up copy places.

durn....we have a total of 3 copy places....staples, action quickprint, and the UPS store. I didn't think I lived in that small of a town! I know we used to have a kinkos and an office max. I know we have an office depot, but they werent listed under the other copy places.

I think the office supply places often will do faxes and stuff. I'd try there. Do you have AAA? If there's a local AAA office near you, I'd call them and ask them if they do faxes for their members.

So, to start with I can tell you the basics of setting your self up to send and receive faxes using your scanner and pc, but I haven't yet sent a fax. I was simply setting mine up so I could say I have a fax.

Anyway if you go into your control panel, then to printers and hardware, the should be an option of adding a fax. Click that and follow the setup wizards instructions and your away laughing. Oh you might also need your original windows cd.

Good luck, hopefully someone else can give you any extra info you may require.

Around here many local shops who have a copier also have a fax as does the post office that you can use for a charge if setting up your comp is too hard.

There are also lots of online fax companies where you upload your document and the server faxes it
