Sylvester has the flu.
He hasn't eaten in a while.
He is recieving treatment from the vet.
He is on antibiotics.

What can I feed him to make him eat?
Is this nutrigel* stuff worth buying?
*It's a high calorie vitamin gel.

Can you define "awhile" how long is that? Is he eating at all, even just a little? Cats who do not eat by three days are in a very precarious situation and can get very sick and even die. Try warming up his food just a little bit, try baby food, canned fish, cook up some chicken (boil it) and shred it when it is warm, dribble some broth over it and see if he will eat that. Make sure you feed him in the same spot and leave him alone while he eats. If the bowl touches his whiskers, and he is feeling puny, he will not eat, so feed him on a cookie tray or a plate. Also take a tiny amount of the food on your fingers and rub it on his whiskers or under his chin. This sometimes entices kitties to eat.

Try him with yogurt, popcorn no butter, boiled egg, or cooked liver. Good luck!

A while as in...
about two days.

I'm really quite worried.
Took him to the vet this morning
The vet said
If he's not eating by tomorrow to bring him in

that's easy for the vet to say
as he isn't in the prescence of a languishing cat

i'm going to heat up some ocean fish flavored wet food now

Well it hasn't worked.
He refuses to eat.
I think I shall have to take him back to the vet this evening
And either get the vet to give him some vitamins
Or to put him on a drip
