you may see me in "petfo" of craigslist from time to time. That is where I saw the link to this site actually! ;-)
Anyhow, I love cats! =) I have been doing some private rescue for the past 4.5 years and just recently got my non-profit status! yahoo! Hopefully by December I will have a grant to purchase the property for our new shelter facility! I currently have 25 cats and 6 dogs (8 cats and 1 dog are actually MINE!).
I feed a natural diet that is based on whole prey and supplemented with raw meaty bones and various organs. As a rescuer, I have had to be exceptionally resourceful in finding food! I have two extra freezers and buy in BULK! I tend to buy about 10,000 chicken chicks, 2500 mice 1,000lbs of chicken necks, and 250lbs of mixed organ meats at a time! I also get tons of donated meats from private citizens and with my non-profit status, from grocery stores as well!
I go to dog shows and other pet related events to teach people about natural feeding. I have been researching carnivore diet for many moons now, and am fairly proficient in feline evolution, physiology and dietary requirements. I was accepted into vet school, but am currently completing a tech program while I get my animal shelter constructed. Someday, once this is done, I will begin my studies as a vet wannabe...
Anyhow, that is my life in a nutshell (save for the boyfriend issues and other domestic fun! haha -Actually I am engaged and quite content in that department. Surprisingly, I lucked out and found a man who loves cats about half as much as I do! He even doesnt complain about litter pan duty! Yahoooo!!! hahahahahahahahahahahaha!)
