Ok so heres my 2 cents! I LOVE the red one you picked out, but the other just look too... I dunno... stuffy? It just looks like they arent welcoming for some reason. I LOVE the persons idea up there with the white comforter and the different color sheets. But I was thinking do either a dark chocolate brown or even a black instead of white with bright sheets. I love having things that you can change the entire look with just 1 quick change!
But as for some that I found that I like Here ya go:

Sorry for so many! I just LOVE to decorate
Thats why I'm going to school for interior design!
Good luck with picking one out! Youve gotten soooo many new options!

Oh my gosh! That's the dealbreaker for me right there!

The "crisp" look Monique described... love it. With the white woodwork in your room, that would be really nice, if it's a style you like.

I also have to vote for #6, for the reason above!!

I have to agree here. The ones you picked Nikki are nice but I can't see them with light wood furniture. The ones above would look nice with light wood.

I like the last one here too. This way the bed is neutral and you can add whatever colors you want as decor.

I'm surprised that anyone with pets in the house has ANYTHING that is "dry clean only". In our house if you can't put it in the washing machine/dryer, it doesn't come in this house

I know it is for me. I know with three cats, I pick out comforters with a very tight weave, so it doesn't get caught and snagged by their toenails. Those gorgeous jacquard styles would be looking ragged in pretty short order at my house!

That being said...I do like #7 because I'm very partial to greens. It looks like a tight weave and it's machine washable. I'm so very boring and practical! Besides, with it being rather plain, you will be able to add many different kinds and colors of accents to it to brighten up the room!
I got soo excited over registereing that I didn't even notice the dry clean only part!!! Uhhh well i guess i won't be choosing any of the dry clean only ones
That would never work in our house
Thankyou sooo much for pointing that out before i registered!!!!!!

Thanks everyone for giving me sooooooooooooo many good tips!!!!!!!! I will definitely take them into consideration before i decide on any bedding! After getting everyone's suggestions i think i might add a few more "brighter" but wash safe colors to the list when i look around some more!! I still LOVE #7 (i had also picked out some really nice chocolate and gold pillows to go with the set from some other places
)

I forgot to add earlier- i'm really not wanting anything with too much of a floral print to it (or any other big print i'll get tired of too quickly) because i think it's a bit girly for Colin. I think greens, light blues (i hate navy! that's all colin has in the house
), whites, chocolates, and pretty reds would look good in the room. We JUST got our new bedroom suite in last week (i had part of the pieces from christmas/birthday presents over the years so we ordered the rest of the colleciton to match.

This is what our furniture looks like. It's the Broyhill Fontana collection (the light wood color) http://www.broyhillfurniture.com/fur...aster_Bedroom/

This is what color or bedroom is.
(Whiskey was being bashfull! Sorry though that's the only picture i can find where you can really see the wall color!)That might help everyone get an idea of what would look good!! Keep those suggestions comming everyone! Thankyou soo much for all of your help! I really was not sure about what bedding to use/what would look best so i appreciate all the help!

This is one of the only pictures i have of the current bedspread (which i HATE
) it's really old and falling apart and it has several holes in it. Colin's had this for years
I don't want ANYTHING that looks similar

Nikki I think your wall color is our ceiling color.

Be careful about the sizes. You might have to check them out in the store if they don't tell you online. Some might be a small queen and barely cover the sides of the bed.

I'm going to post some new options!! i don't mind dry clean only for just the comforter part, but if it's for everything, that wouldnt work

Option A: This one you have to dry clean just the comforter part, so thats ok!
I LOVE this one!!! I'm thinking about getting this one!

that's kind of funny about the wall color!

Thanks for the tip on size! I was REALLY hoping to find a nice "oversized" Queen that i like but haven't found too many.

Sorry, I didn't read all the threads but I'd advise to stay way from any florals. Most men don't like 'em even if they are too polite to say anything.

Wow, they all look like they are for royalty! I feel kind of bad about our lowly cotton down comforters now!

Now your talkin. I like option C and option D. Didn't notice the cleaning specs, but washable would be the closer.

JC Penney as many oversized queens. Target & Kohl's usually do not.
I haven't shopped at Macy's but I know they are the most expensive.
I like your newer choices. You could put two down.

I like most of them, esp. #6, the red, etc, set (the wall color in the background is the same exact shade that I just painted my bathroom!). I have a lovely Martha Stewart orangey paisley set in my master bedroom; so I'm drawn to those colors right now. I, too, have tan walls, with a lot of glossy white doors and trim.

I hesitate to to recommend anything, as I don't know what style your furniture is, nor do I know you, so it's hard for me to advise. All can do though, is suggest a few questions to ask yourself:

1. Style of furniture and accessories you already have in that room; unless you're planning to change those well?

2. What sort of look were you going for? Lush and regal, or more modern (#6)? What style really makes you happy? It seems that lush and regal is the style you're aiming for, as most of the choices are that style.

3. What style does your intended like? If you like one style a lot, and he hates it, that's a decorating recipe for disaster, especially in a shared bedroom!

4. You mentioned pets: as much as I like silk, I can't have anything satiny/shiny/delicate, due to the cats. All of your choices seem satiny,so this may be a concern.

5. Can these items be laundered? Especially important if pets sleep on your bed, or go into that room.

Sorry I wasn't more of a help!

Over the river and through the woods...
First of all, your bedroom set is beautiful!

This is what we got when we ordered our bedroom set. It is an iron sleigh bed, but all our woodwork is light oak, and it works well with that and beige walls.

It's from walmart..one of those bed in the bag sets, and we love it! It's available online and you can have an online registry there too.

We have a winner!!!!!
And the winner is:

Option A!!!!! http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/prod...U=108520&RN=31

I REALLY love this one!!!
I LOVE the details- it's "girly" enough for me but so stuble that it's still "manly" and blue enough for Colin! I think it's an awesome set too- seems to be good quality. I got to reading the review on the one i liked from Target and it seems as if it's not the best quality. I want something that's going to really last.
I also got Colin's opinion and my sister's opinion and both looked through all the options and liked A the best too! I think that A will look better in our room too than the ones with red because or rug is a light green color (i don't want it to look "christmasy") Thanks for all of the help and suggestions everyone!!!

Aww poop, no more time to vote. That is a perty blue though. Although i did like that second orangey red stripey one.
