Does anyone know if this is true?

Our Walmart has quit carring my kitty litter :Tidy Cat Crystal Blend (for multiple cats)...they said something about not selling enough volume.
So we went to the next town, where my hubby has bought it before on his way home from work ...and they were out. So they took all the info and our name and phone # so they could check on it for us.
They just called...IT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE!
Dose anyone know what happened to it? Was there are problem with it? Did`nt people buy enough to warrent Purina continuting to make it?
Gosh darn it anyhow....I FINALLY find one that me and the boys like...and they quit making it!

I don't think it's not being made anymore. It sounds like Walmart just isn't selling it anymore. You should be able to buy it somewhere else.

I use to use that and then switched to Arm & Hammer scoopable. I hope there wasn't something wrong with it. You could contact corperate to see why they stopped carrying it.

Actually I did send an email to Purina yesterday...but have not gotten a reply back yet. I thought it was just THE BEST clay litter around too! I sure hope I can find it somewhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Unless there was soemthing wrong with it, of course)

i refuse to shop anywhere excpet walmart, tho. they rock! glad that's not my kittie litter brand. good luck finding it somewhere else, linda.

They didnt stop carrying it at ALL Wal-Marts, cause mine has it, and will continue to, or so they say ( i work there).

I would check around, usually grocery stores carry it, as well as country stores and the pet stores.

Tidy Cats site still has it. I haven't bought litter for over a week, but I'm pretty sure that they still make it/sell it.

Target carries it. I was just there today.

Thanks guys! I think I`ll have my Hubby check the Walmart in K-Zoo when he gets off work Monday....and if they don`t have it , there is a petstore nearby too....and a Meijers right across the road from there too.
It`s good to know they are still making it....and if they are making it...WE+ WILL FIND IT....SOMEPLACE!

I'm about 95% sure our Walmart had it when I got litter last Monday. I hope you can find it!

I can propably find out whats going on here My husband works at the store here...I'll have him find out what I can and post back probably tomorrow on it

I will shop anywhere EXCEPT Walmart. I am not seeing any bargains in their food stuffs. Meijers is MY kind of store. Great food sales! Went there last week during one of their super sales. My bill was $54 and the sales slip told me I saved a total of.............$59 because of the sale prices. Pffft, Walmart can't even begin to compare with savings like THAT!! I comparison shop all the time and.......hey, facts is facts!!

That's a true shame that those are your only options. I fortunately live in an area that has groceries such as Aldies, Strack & Van Til (local owned), Wiseway, Pay Low & Ultra (local discount stores), in addition to Meijers. It makes me mad that Walmart NEVER has sale flyers like the other stores do. I can beat their prices every week by going elsewhere! Have you checked out other towns near to you?

NOTE: It really pays to have a big chest freezer in your basement or garage. I save SO much money by being able to freeze my purchases for later usage.

That's the beauty of competition. Those stores are competing to draw the customers to their particular store by offering great savings on certain items.

We tried that for awhile, but two of our cats developed respiratory trouble, and the vet said the crystals could be causing it. We went back to regular Tidy Cat/Immediate Odor Control (which is just excellent), and the kitties got better! So if your kitties are sneezing or their eyes are teary, you might try going crystal-free and see if that fixes it.

Our target isn't carrying it anymore but Walmart does.
I am sure it depends on the stores location & whether that store is doing good selling it.

I know that Rite Aid caters to the public with hair dye around here. We have one in a Russian populated area and they have tons of dark browns or red dye b/c it's the most popular and don't carry anything else. The other Rite Aid down the street carries tons of selections but only 3 boxes at a time.
