I would love permanent hair removal. How much does it cost?

well I use shaving gel, and sometimes my dove soap (it seems to work very well) and a soliel (sorry if spelled wrong
) razor, it works great
And of course the intuition whenever we have it I
that the most but well my dad does the shopping

I usually use the dove soap when shaving. I think it works good.

Today I tried nair, and NEVER again. It made my legs really itchy and it didn't take the hair off all the way. The hair was all loose and if I scratched at it with my nail, it would come off. I left it on for almost the maximum amount of time too. The smell of it also was making me feel sick.

I use the venus vibrance... I've got blonde hair, but not on the lower part of my legs!
If I miss one day of shaving you know it! It's really really annoying... I hate it and DEFINITELY want to get lazer hair removal eventually (haha, got a million student loans to pay off first!)... I tried regular nair and the kind with the bladeless razor and they don't even work! I followed the directions, left it on for shorter, left it on for longer and it doesn't take off any hair! I tried home waxing ONCE... never ever ever again - my skin was so red and irritated and it didn't really work and getting any excess wax off was nearly impossible - it was a giant painful mess... I guess I'm just stuck to shaving for now unfortunately... I do it it the shower so the water and steam help soften up my skin and hair first... ugh, I can't believe I begged my mom so badly in 6th grade to start shaving - I totally didn't believe her when she said I will have wished I put it off, yar!

I can set you up with some straight razors if you're interested. Some of the guys wives and daughters on the shaving site I belong to have tried and whoever does, doesn't go back.

I'm a waxer too, I use Nads. I dislike shaving because you have to do it so frequently.

Movin' on up!
When/if I find the time, I'm going to schedule a consultation and price quote for laser hair removal, for my upper lip. For now, the Tweezee is working well but, I'd rather just get rid of it, for good.

The place that does the hair removal also does laser resurfacing and I'm also going to get a quote, for the little lines, around my eyes.

When my husband and I had our boat, (when I was in my twenties)I used
nair, for my legs and bikini line. I used it enough for a few yrs. that the
hairs on my bikini line started growing inward, creating very painful sores, or not so gross, ingrown hairs! It was terrible to say the least! I went to a dermatologist, she said no more nair, cotton panties, and a topical alcohol!
My aunt came down from Chicago, she had been traveling to the islands
and was getting waxed (bikini line) she said she developed the same thing,
and called it vahiculitious(can't spell that word)
She had to give it up also. And if used in excess, all depilitories will eventually train your hairs to turn around and grow inward! ouch! so, be careful using them!
I'm a hair stylist, once at my shop, my partner talked me into growing my hair out under my arms, during the summer, I did, it was gross, she was going to wax them , the day came and she didn't have the right kind of cloth that
you use when waxing, I forgot the name, anyway, I didn't know it, so here
we go,, she and I couldn't quit laughing for the hair that was under my arm, and i couldn't quit because of the mere fact of what she was about to do to me, and she couldn't quit because she was having
sheer pleasure in the torture of it! She spread the wax....... she put the strip on top of it and started the rubbing and patting.............and when she went to pull that sorry strip
of whatever off I went with it..............it hurt so bad
it didn't remove any hair!!!!!!!!!!! It was funny!!!!!!!!!!!! We still laugh about that now!!
She did get the other cloth and we did do again and believe me, it worked!
It was pretty cool, I didn't shave for the rest of the summer! And I shave my underarms everyday, and I hate that! There was no way
she was doing my legs, boy she wanted to though!ha ha
I just wish I was one of those girls whose underarms looked so smooth no trace of hair, or bums! Not me and if I try a new razor, I will get burned and have the red bums! I have to be so careful! anyway, a good ole heavy mens
razor is my favorite!

I get my legs waxed every 6 weeks or so as shaving highly irritates my skin. But I can't get my eyebrows done; I tried it twice and the first time the pain was excruciating, the second she took off too much!!

Got my little vibrating Venus razor. Waxing makes my legs hurt just thinking about it, and Nair never really seemed to work for me.

This thread reminds me of the time I ran out of clean underwear and had to use duct tape instead. Yipes, I'll never do that again.

Sorry I did not see it was an obvious joke that went over my head. Without a LOL behind some things I can not tell they are a joke.

It went over my head as well. I was a little disturbed by the fact that someone would use duct tape in the place of underwear.LOL
