I have a 9 yr old calico unfixed house cat. And recently she has been in heat for about 2 weeks and she started to lactate? there is no chance she had contact with another cat to get pregnant and no signs of her getting pregnant.

is this ok? I am just worried, this just does not seem normal?

Not normal. It could be a false pregnancy. Has she ever had kittens? If not, it could be a sign of cancer. Unspayed females who don't have kittens or have been in and out of heat a long time over the years are very prone to cancer.

Why was she not spayed years ago? I'd get her to the vet asap and have it checked out and have her spayed!

Thanks, yeah she was not spayed yrs ago cause she was always a indoor cat, and I felt bad to do it to her so late if she didnt need it.
but Cancerous sounds like something seriuos. i will bring her in and see whast going on.

She has never had kittens and always stayed indors her whole life.

Please, please get her spayed - while she is indoor only, that doesn't stop her getting potentially life threatening illnesses such as pyometra, mammary cancer, uterine cancer and ovarian cancer - I lost a rescue cat to mammary cancer 2 years ago, as her owner thought the same, please dont let that happen to your cat.
