With Photo Shop.
OK so I went to open PS right and for some reason the EULA or T&C thing popped up. I thought its a bit odd but clicked agree anyway just to shut it up. Now I can't use PS coz it comes up with this message.

Your Adobe Photoshop Elements user name, organization or serial number is missing or invalid. The application cannot continue and must now exit.

Does anyone have any idea :censor::censor::censor: thats all about?

I can't reinstall the software as its in any 1 of 100 boxes back in NZ. This is a total pain in the

Its not giving me an option to re enter the serial number, just that message, you can't do anything with it til you click ok then it closes.

They probably have a fix for it

I googled it and came up with this:

I made a call to customer service and was informed that if we used a maintenance program with a "Registry Cleaner", this error would occur.

Has anyone else run into this problem? I never had this occur while running
Elements 3 and used the same maintenance program. Nortons System Works.
I had to un-install and re-install to correct the problem.
I like to keep my system well maintained and can't understand the difference between the
2 versions of Elements that would cause this problem.
and the recommended fix

Thank you,

Unfortunately I don't know what vcom is and I don't have a registry cleaner. Haven't had the need for one yet.

Looks like I need to wait til I get back to NZ to reinstall it.

Excuse me, but I thought using the letters ":censor::censor::censor:" was against TCS rules? Especially in a thread title?

Just wondering...

Oh right, yea I do. I didn't know that, well I know they remove infected spyware files from the registry. I haven't had any spyware issues for coming up 2 years.
Is that something I can change? coz it shouldn't remove any files without my permission as thats the way I've set it up.

Stinking computers eh.

You can get a free registry cleaner here:

http://www.ccleaner.com/

I use it all of the time and it works great.

As for your issue, it sounds like Photoshop checked for updates and discovered a problem with your serial number. Perhaps someone else is using the program and serial number on another computer?

It didn't start out as WTH but was edited by mods.

Yeah, could be, but that means someone I know, has been going through my boxes.
