Ok, so uh... Tonka was on my desk with his rear RIGHT in my face
and for whatever reason (not that I had a choice) but I notice he doesn't have any..... well...... furballs

Now, the other brats are all nuetured and they have.... "furballs"..... and on our last vet visit his paperwork said "Altered feline" but didn't specify male or female.
Maybe they didn't know either

I've always been pretty good about knowing the difference but now I'm baffled.

Any advice or help?

If "he" does turn out to be a "she", I think I'll keep the name Tonka...maybe....Oh lord..... help me

Well, LH is harder to tell than SH. But yeah, he should have itty bitty "nuggets" back there.

Can you grope him to see if there's anything? That's how I hafta tell on LH shelter kitties.

Well, then perhaps Tonkette it is!

Can you call the vet to ask what sex s/he is?
Didn't the adoption place tell you a sex? Which may not mean anything, here we've guessed on sex on a few cats who won't have anything to do with us near their bums!

On his paperwork from the vet and the shelter it just says "Altered Feline" and sex is left blank.... Poor baby....is having an idenity crisis

Wonder if I should try again.... Oh, why not? I have 9 fingers left.......

Is there any way you can feel one of the cat brats then feel Tonka's behind?
That's usually how I do the ones that are hard to tell.

I am not going anywhere NEAR the brats.. I do need some fingers

Well to my relief (definatly not Tonka's).... he is a boy!

I held treats in one hand and checked with the other.

He keeps giving me some nasty looks now and I'm a little worried about the retaliation of this one....

He keeps giving me looks like "You..... violated...... me.... You... shall..... die...... now"

Im a little scared now
I don't think Tonka ever wanted to be this personal with someone.... frankly... I didn't want to be this personal with Tonka...

I don't think him and I will ever speak of this...

Im wondering if we can ever look each other in the eyes again

Maybe it was all set-up... by him and the brats... it was a ploy to have an excuse for when they destroy the house when I'm in bed tonight

If it makes you feel better I can't really tell with Scratch. The vet had to put on gloves and do a feel check.

You can imagine how well that went over.

It could be worse...

When we first got Poo, she'd been a street cat, and she'd had a bad case of worms that weren't responding to any of the medicine. The vet said that the next step was an enema. !! We were assured that this was a safe thing that we could do from home.

Hubby and I got a baby ear bulb syringe, and made sure all the edges were smooth. We even got some lidocaine or benzocaine numbing gel to put on her little, um, starfish. The noises that cat made!!! Talk about the dirty looks too.

What's worse is, through out her life, she had a tendancy to get impacted glands, so we had to extract them often. The poor cat probably thought we all had a fetish with her bum.
