For the last week I've craved garlic bread!
I've probably eaten 6 loaves by myself (not including the one I'm eating now )

I know this can't be healthy

But I just can't get enough!

ETA: Make that 7 loaves

Sometimes a loaf a day this last week.
I've made 3 special trips to the store just for garlic bread
Oooooh and it HAS to be the stuff from the deli. It's not frozen, it's made fresh daily. And tonight, I found out they're selling the garlic butter by it's self so I got some of that and some french bread......

I've lost track of how much I've ate..... Dh says like 10 loaves. I wouldn't doubt it

That's what my son says. When I went to pick him up the other day he said "Mom, have you been eating garlic bread AGAIN?!"

pathetic isn't it?

What I think is funny is Tonka loves garlic also. He will sit by the stove waiting for it to come out and meow his head off until I give him a teeny bite.

I hope garlic isn't bad for cats
*off to look it up*

ETA: I looked it up and am finding mixed results. Some say it's ok, others say no.....
Sorry, Tonk, can't take a chance.

ohhhhhhh he's gonna be mad at me

On patrol or at my PC
Gets rid of any flea issues you may have. I enjoy a nice crusty outside with a butter & garlic drenched interior section. Sometimes with a little mozz cheese and fresh parsley on the top... Mmmmmmmmm...

I use chopped garlic, butter, tiny bit of parmesean cheese, paprika and parsley in my bread mix. Even did some baked bread with the mix in the middle. Brush it on those pop-n-fresh croissonts rolls... OMG

Thanks Mark
Now I'm wanting to eat more but I don't know if my stomach (Or DH) could handle more tonight.
And I'm glad to know I won't have any problems with fleas but what about Tonka?
jk

So is it safe for dogs/cats?

Some say yes, some say no. The deal with cats/dogs & garlic is that the amount that is toxic can never be specified, it varies from one animal to the next. So you could very well kill Tonka with a bite....theoretically.

Well, as much as he doesn't like it, He wont be getting anymore.

I think it's the butter more then any of it.
If it is, I'd be more then happy to share a little of my toast with him

Is it the garlic/butter you've been craving, or the bread? I know the combination is the perfect match, but I wonder if your body is craving a certain part of it.

Let's see...if we go by the old adage that our bodies know what they need:

craving bread = body wanting carbs, calories or yeast.
(If you are not on Atkins, or other diet, and your um, female areas are all in normal condition...this is probably not it.)

craving butter = body wanting salt
(Salt cravings can be a symptom of diabetes, high blood pressure and sickle cell anemia.)

craving garlic = body wanting potassium

Mmm..now I want garlic.

I don't know about the 50 loaves you've had so far
but garlic is suppose to be good for the heart.

Now I want a nice buttery piece of garlic bread.
