Ok, so I have mentioned before that we live out, right?

Well I had been seeing ad's up for a missing boxer puppy, the last few days. While I am gone today, my DH calls and said some woman came to the house and asked us if we had her puppy?
She shows him a pic of the pup, etc etc. She claims shes not *accusing* us, but had been told that we have a few dogs?!

I kinda feel that it was a acuasation.

Maybe its just me....

I would never take anyones dog, and it I saw an ad for one, and did have it,I would return it!! *rolls eyes*

How would you feel??

I would say "GET LOST, @#%$!"

If she is accusing you, just say "I don't have your dog. If you have reasonable belief that I have snatched your dog, you are more than welcome to contact the police and have them search my house. If you do not find your dog in my house, I will sue you for slandering and for the time I have lost, the emotional suffering, possible work time lost, my back pain, headache, my hangnail..etc. Now, do you have any questions?"

All kidding aside, just say "I don't have your dog, sorry."

but she shouldn't have been accusing you of it. I hope she finds her pup soon. it could be possible someone probably stole the pup.

i had a similar thing happen about 5 months ago. a women who lives not to far from me knocked on the door, her DSH had gone missing, he was ginger and white about 2 years old, very pretty cat from the photo. she had been told that i had a few cats and that maybe i had seen him.
i told her im ever so sorry but i havnt, we actually got talking and she is really nice, helps strays like myself and works with the same rescue as myself lol. but she didnt out right ask me if i had her cat lol, but at the same time if someone told me that someone had one of my cats i would be straight around their asking them the same question then thinking about it after.
she just wants her dog back so she is following any leads she can.

We were walking Keno around the block a few weeks ago; stopped at a neighbor's house to chat. This guy in a pick up truck stopped and asked us if we had seen a yellow lab (similar to Keno) that he had lost. He probably thought it was his dog at first and wanted to double check.

We didn't get upset - we told him we'd keep an eye out for her. If someone hears you have pets, they would most likely not "accuse" of picking up their dog, but there's a possiblity you might have seen their dog or it came to your house since you had dogs.

I can see why youâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]d be upset about what was possibly implied to her by someone else, but I really donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t interpret what she said as an accusation or out of line. She had the courtesy to ask and probably was trying not to offend your family or cause problems. Wouldnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t any of us do the same if one of our pets was missing?

Well I called and talked to the woman....turns out its a woman my mom used to work with

Anyways, I guess there had been a sighting out around my area of a boxer, so she was basically going door to door and one of the elderly lady that lives out here told her to check my house, because we always have dogs!!

She wasnt mad,. and didnt seem to be accusing when I spoke to her on the phone. I suggested petfiner to her and another place for free ad's around here, so maybe she will do that...
