Hello!

Never thought to even search for a cat forums, but I did because I need a little help since I've got four sick cats
. They are all going to the vet on Saturday and I think, from what I've read online, that they all have an upper respiratory infection. I know how they got it and it's unfortunate, but I will tell the story in the proper place on this site.

Anyhow, my name is Tanya and I own four house cats and I love them all to pieces. I'll introduce them:

Tokyo -- will turn 2 years old this Oct. -- (named for her Japanese looking eyes, it looks that way to me): The oldest of my pack and I adopted her from the North Shore Animal League in Long Island New York back in Nov. 2005 (she was only a month old). She is a medium hair Tabby who happens to be a polydactyl but from her characteristics we think she's half Tabby and Egyptian Mau...her mom and dad were not a strays. She was brought in by a woman who has lots of cats. She's the type to sit back and watch from afar. She only wants to be pet when she wants to be pet. She's very vocal when she wants attention. She hates to be picked up or held. She'd just rather sit in your lap on her own accord. She hides when she sleeps. She goes to sleep around noon and wakes up around 8pm and plays all night and on to the same routine for the next day.

Halo -- 1 years old --(named for her bright faced glow): I rescued this little orange angel from a parking lot last year and we believe she was three months old then. Her mom is a Tabby, but tend to think her father could have been a ferrell (sp?) cat. I took her and two other people took her two sisters and her Mom so they all ended up in good homes. She loves the smell of cooked meat and LOVES wet canned food. To date she's gained weight and has doubled her size. For a long time we thought she was going to be skinny and small forever. She was very playful until we brought our two new kittens home this past July. I think it's because she's sick
.

Coco -- 4.5 months old --(named for her color - coco in Spanish is a white color): She's a gorgeous medium haired Tabby and we got her and Miso from an animal shelter in Northern, NJ during cat season. I say gorgeous because she looks like she's wearing make-up and has beautiful eyes. She's white with brown and black spots on the top of her head and on her back. She's the most mischievous and the most friendliest of all of my cats. She loves to sleep above my head on my pillow. She loves to pounce and play and wrestle with her little brother. She's afraid of Tokyo and I think it's because Tokyo slapped her once because she was playing around too much. She likes to plan to run out of the house so we have to watch her as we open doors to the outside of our house or she will run out.

Last but not least...

Miso -- 3 months old -- (named after Miso soup, ever see a bowl of Miso soup? small and warm): My little man. He is the tiniest little thing I've ever saw. He looks like my Tokyo, but he's a boy and his face is white, but he has a dark nose on a white face. He's awesome! He is also very curious. He wants to know what everything is and what's going on. He could be sleep, but if he hears one of us get up to do something he comes to check it out. He also loves to shake up my birds and comes flying out of the bird room with a heart beat going 1 million beeps a minute.
He only sleeps on my husband's chests when he needs a nap and he loves spending time in my daughter's room. I think that's his favorite place in the house. Sometimes he gets stuck in the inside of the couch and he'll scream for help when he can't get out. We have to remove the pillows and cushions and pull him out of the inside of the base. He knows he'll get stuck but he keeps on doing it.

OK that's it for me. This was long! Sorry!
