I would like to share a poem with all you girls, Ok men you can read it to if you can handle it

A Woman's Prayer:


Dear Lord , I pray for Wisdom, To understand a man,
I pray for Love, To forgive him,
I pray for Patience, For his moods.
Because Lord if I don't pray for Strength I'll just beat him to death.


A friend sent this to me Lord knows I have had days when I need this pray

im sorry heavanangles becuase i know u r just trying to lend a smile, but coming from a family of abusers, i just get the chills reading jokes about spouse abuse no matter who is on the recieeving end.

We tend to think of spousal/partner abuse in terms of the male abuser and the female abused. Certainly, we see ample evidence of abused women in our society.

More research is showing that the gender split for spousal abuse is closer to 50/50. Men are just as likely to be physically abused by women as women are by men. (Read "The Verbally Abusive Relationship", by Patricia Evans.) However, this kind of abuse takes a very low profile for two reasons. One, men will almost never report when they have been abused. They will cover it up and say things like, "My toddler swung a toy and hit me in the eye." There are some things the male ego just can't admit. Secondly, women simply can't inflict as much damage beating a man as vice-versa. There is far less likelihood that a man will need medical attention.

That said, your poem is kind of amusing, heavenangels. But re-read it while reversing the gender references. How does it sound now?

Guys it's just a joke. My mom and dad are divorced and fought a lot, but I don't take it personally at all. heavensangels is just trying to make some laughs. Take it as a joke, you guys.

I thought it was funny... as it's meant to be. Reminds me of another joke serenity prayer...

Heavenly Father

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.

The wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill because they
p***** me off.

Help me to be careful of the toes I step on today, as they may be
connected to the a** that I may have to kiss tomorrow.

Help me to always give 100% at work: 12% on Monday, 23% on Tuesday,
40% on Wednesday, 20% on Thursday, 5% on Friday.

And help me to remember: When I'm having a really bad day, and it
seems that people are trying to p*** me off, that it takes 42 muscles
to frown and only 4 to extend my middle finger and tell them to bite
me.

u guys are 100% rite. i feel so bad. im new here and after 1 day im already offending 1 of the kind peeple who helped me with my cat in the attic problem.

I actually find it amusing both ways! I know there are times that my husband and I both would like to throttle one another... the point is that we don't and we can laugh at jokes like this.

you cant go though life with worry over if you are going to offend someone,
cause someone will be offened no mattar what you do or dont do.
