Hi everyone! I just found these forums (thank God) and wanted to introduce myself and most importantly, my new kitten. I took him in after his mother vanished and he was left alone with his dead siblings. He's a little orange tabby and quite a character; he has enough personality for at least three kittens, lol. The vet wasn't sure he would make it, but he pulled through (he's scrappy) and has bounced back nicely.
I must admit, I never planned on owning a cat as I come from a family of dog lovers and am completely devoted to my canine friends. However, when I saw that tiny face peering up at me through the shrubs, it was instant love. I have no clue what I'm doing, but I adore him, as does my dog. (She's his sort of surrogate mom, it's adorable. They have the same coloring and I suspect Simon thinks he's a puppy.) I am so, so happy that I found this site, I've already learned so much stuff! And I thought the dog world was complicated, lol.
