my kitty is getting old (18) and she doesnt move so good anymore. she is slow going up steps, doesnt jump on her high favorite spots anymore, and is slow, really slow to lay down.

is there anything i can give her to help her out?

also when i pet her on her back i have been noticing bumps on her spine, it almost seems to me like every vertabre is super accentuated and you can feel them right under the skin. i dont remember it being that way, and honestly i havent petted another cat in ages. i think its been getting more noticable, and she isnt a skinny cat.

does that sound familiar to anyone?

It sounds like she is losing a lot of weight and muscle mass. Has she been to the vet or had any bloodwork done? There are several diseases that are common in older cats, like hyperthyroidism and chronic renal failure. They can be treated if your cat has them, but blood and urine tests are needed to determine what's going on in your kitty's body.
