I'll miss you my Polly Girl..

Polly was 4 years old, and she was our rottimix that we rescued. (i hope it's okay to post since she isn't a cat)...

It got really hot yesterday and she was out playing and then she all of sudden fell over, and went unconscious. I was at work, my husband was home with my daughter.. He scooped her up and went straight to the vet.

We tried everythign to cool her down, cool water on her tummy, and alcohol and water on her pads. Everything,, and she wasn't coming out of it.. She was lying there still breathing,a nd heart beating.. And finally the vet said her temp was too high that she would not come out of it, and if she did she'd be a vegetable, because her brain was going to be damaged. So the only humane thing to do was put her to sleep.. IT was soo horrible.. and I wish we could do the day over and bring them inside all day long..

I love you Polly, and I'm going to miss you soo terribly bad.. I'm soo sorry to have done wrong by you.

I just hope your playing with other dogs over the rainbow bridge right now..

It's so nice to have a group of wonderful people to talk too.. It's not easy losing your pet,, it's like losing something you know you never can get back, and I appreciate everyone so much for there sweetness!!
