Okay... Now I know there are PLENTY of bad kitty stories out there, so let's here them!

Little mischievous kittens + sleepy owners + nice ceramic dish = DISASTER!

The little ones were up in the middle of the night and apparently playing with a ceramic fruit dish on the side table in out living room. I don't know how it broke being that it was barely 2 feet high from the carpet! Sadly though, in the morning, I found it in 3 pieces with little shards in the carpet and them walking all over it.
Thankfully, neither of them cut themselves.

So what's your bad kitty story?

Years ago, I had a little kitten (Heidi) and while I was at work, she climbed onto my headboard where I have a few of my favorite carousels. She knocked down a handblown glass carousel that my dad had purchased for me and completely shattered it. Needless to say, I was soooo mad that I ignored her (for all of 5 minutes!) I had another cat, Heidi's aunt Daisy, that went to the bathroom on my leather coat!!! Again, stayed mad for all of 5 minutes...You just can't stay mad at the little buggers no matter what they do!!

Probably at work :(
I'll pick the most recent of the day
. Just bought a new comforter for the bed. I put a throw over it so the cat hair might stay off the new comforter for a while . I always turn over the top of the comforter. When I left for work, I looked for both cats to tell them by this morning. Couldn't find Poops. Of course, she was under the folded top of it instead of on the throw blanket.

Aww, there are no bad kitties!
Only kitties like my Pearl, who has recently discovered the joys of bathroom paper. I've taken to tiptoeing when I head toward the bathroom, because if Pearl notices, she'll streak past me and do absolutely whatever it takes to get into the bathroom, hop up on the toilet lid, and whapwhapwhap the roll of paper into a little pile of shreds in a matter of seconds! She's incredible!

But bad? Naaah... bestest little girl in the world, is what I always tell her.

With my two horrors I wouldn't even know where to begin!

Finally got the cat food we ordered and I was unpacking it from the box last night. Try unpacking a box which has two cats fighting over who owns it! I stuck my hand in to pull out some pouches and Radar bit me. It was most definitely 'his' box

This is how I discovered the kittens are able to get on countertops now :O

Well, just like any old normal bathroom, we have a toilet paper roll in one of those spinny dispenser things. I was worried when we first got Nyx that she'd do that thing like in that one commercial with the orange cat rolling and rolling the toilet paper until it's all on the ground. But she didn't do that so we kept the toilet paper there.

Then for whatever reason we put a paper towel roll on the bathroom counter, along with a box of tissues. Jim and I leave for work...

... and return to find an apartment COVERED in pieces of paper EVERYWHERE!!!! The toilet paper roll was completely empty, the entire strip was torn up and distributed all around the apartment. The paper towel was the same, although slightly less shredded (still distributed everywhere though) and of course the tissue box, which was brand new, was suddenly empty and lying on the ground. Bigsby and Eris sitting on little piles chewing up bits of paper (and Nyx rolling around getting in a fight with the remainder of the paper towel roll). I was pretty pissed. But we cleaned it all up, and now the toilet papers are sitting on top of the towel rack and tissue boxes are turned upside down. Darn those cats!!!!

(since we've moved those things around, the cats have taken a liking to shredding up our bills and other things from the mail)

Mom had scolded our cat Sheba for being underfoot while she was cooking. Sheba left the kitchen. Mom walked into the front room and found Sheba trying to push a large potted plant off the plant table. Sheba had even braced her back against the wall to push with her hind feet!

Sheba also liked to play with spiny cactus, sleep in the cactus pot, and ate the ponytail palm.

Most of mine really have not been bad per say, but I do have one about Mitten.

Mitten was a special cat in many ways - he really listened to you outside (come when called, etc.) and he did many other "smart" things. Anyway, we lived on the corner and Mitten was not allowed to go across the street when outside. He would stay in our yard. One day I let him out to go in the backyard and instead of going there, he walked down the steps and started across the street to the neighbor's house. I didn't want him to stop in the middle, so I let him get across (thankfully no cars) and then marched out the door after him.

His "registered HHP name" was Mitten Mouchette (french for tabby) - He only got called by full name when I was really mad! So I followed him and told him in a really mean voice "MITTEN MOUCHETTE you come here right now!" He stopped dead in his tracks.

I picked him up (14 lbs of cat) and like a child doing something wrong and dangerous he got it smack on the butt! I told him "you know you are not supposed to go in the street, bad cat!"

Took him right back in the house and put him in the living room. I was making grilled cheese sandwich for myself at the time and Mitten loved cheese. So after the sandwich was made (he normally asked for his treat), I took it in the living room to watch tv there. Mitten knew he had done wrong cause he would not even come over and ask - I kept glaring at him from time to time.

Later that nite he kinda came up to me and got in my lap and meowed he was sorry. And he never went across the street again either

Once when we were staying at my mom's and she noticed that Alley had been scratching her claws on the doorframe in my bedroom and bathroom and had them in terrible shape. I spent two days sanding out the scratches and applying several coats of polyurethane to make them look nice again.

Once it was dry and Alley was allowed back in the room she went straight to the door and stretched her long body up, put her little paws on the door and just looked at me and meowed, like she was daring me to stop her!

Lol! I have so many I write a blog dedicated to the subject!

Hemmy is a real stinker. He lives to eat and pick on our other cats. (He was the first to take to the new kitten since he sees him as a new target.) He really loves to torment Friday. It doesn't take much. All he has to do is touch Friday with his paw and Friday cries and runs. I'll be on the couch and Friday will run through the living room. Hemmy will stalk along after him determined to touch Friday again. Seems like I'm always saying, "Hemmy, stop hunting Friday!"

Here's another favorite about Friday the Genius that was too big to post here.

Lets see I have sooo many bad kitty stories! probably one of my faves is how we found out Kahlua is a ninja! LOL! About 3 in the morning I was dead asleep I woke up to a horrible scratching noise and found Kahlua hanging about 4 feet off the gound on my door frame and she couldnt figure out how to get down!
She also thinks its a fun game to take the "long way" to the kitchen by jumping over the piano!

And that's putting it nicely! He certainly gives me tons to write about! I suspect the new kitten will be just as "helpful." I write about Friday so much you'd think the other two are normal but that would be silly. Kit broke my favorite vase and Hemmy hunts the neighbor's dog... I could go on.

I have one from tonight!

I bought a Wii a few weeks back (me = geek gamer girl). I kept wondering how the controllers got various places in the house, and I figured they were just dragged... that didn't worry me, they're pretty sturdy.

Well, tonight, I found out. One was sitting on a side table, I watched my five month old boy take the wrist strap securely in his mouth, crouch, and then take a flying leap off the table, and sprint down the hallway - with the controller smacking the wood floor behind him on every step.

Apparently time to invest in more tupperwear tubs for EVERYTHING!

Wow gotta love pets and wii's! Our cats try to chase the straps when we are playing ours! My boss has one and tennis confuses his weimer because he doesnt understand where the ball goes after he (my boss) hits it.

OMG, my husband wants a Wii so bad that if he had one and caught our kittens doing that, he'd freak!!!
