Patience's litter is four days old as of today. I just handled them all moments ago to get their weights, checks and for kittish luvvin. The largest of the litter, the cap and saddle bi-color boy, definitely had one of his eyes open. It was his left eye, and it wasn't completely open but he was blinking fairly regularly. It looked, pretty alien actually. Has anyone heard of kittens beginning to open their eyes this early? Could this be a problem? I've turned off all the lights in the room and there isn't much natural lighting in there, so I'm hoping to avoid light damage. I'm hoping he's just an advanced youngling (he weighed in at 179g, larger than the next largest by 10g), and it is not indicative of a larger problem? 4 days old just seems terribly early....
