Hi.

We have a 2 year old persian (male) who has been on his own. To keep him company we have bought a kitten (Female), a black exotic. We are seeing some strange and worrying behaviour from the male. He follows the kitten around, sometimes just sitting and watching her. Then on occasions he nibbles the scruff of her neck and sits on top of her. Not sure if this is some mating activity, but the kitten is only 15 weeks old. Both have been spayed and neutered.

Any ideas?

Thanks
m

I agree....our "king", Toby does that on occassion to both of our other cats.
It is normal behavior in the "cat kingdom".
SOMEBODY has to be the alpha cat!
Congrats on your new baby, by the way!
