Geronimo does - or at least has to know where I am 24/7!
If he can't find me, or if I'm behind "closed doors", he'll sit outside the door the entire time whining his head off! I swear, it sounds like he's saying, "Mama! Mama!"
I've never seen anything like it..

Do any of you have a cat that behaves that way??

I have two that do that! I can't shut the bathroom door without them wanting to know what I'm doing and why the doors shut!

They don't usually follow me closely. However I've noticed that whenever I switch areas of the house, the cats generally move so that they can keep an eye on me. They're always at least within eye-shot.

The only exception is if I go upstairs to take a nap during the day. They aren't just in the room, they're on the bed with me. Neither one will turn down nap time!!

George always has to be in the same room with me. When I step out of the shower, there he is, sitting on the toilet seat, waiting for me. Right now, because it's past our "usual" bedtime, he's laying on the floor at the foot of the bed. In a few minutes he'll becoming out, looking at me, as if to say "are you coming or what?"

Aboslutely, esspecially if I've just came home from somewhere. I have a tri- level house and I'll go upstairs to get something and Popsie follows. I go right back down and he follows. He's my shadow.

Our two new kittens do this. Murphy is worse then Winston at it as he is also a "Talker" and is always murmuring and grunting lol.

God forbid you dare to walk out a room with out him cause he will sure let you know about it with me-ows and it's like a cross between a purr and a me-ow.

He also has this "I want to be attached to your foot at all times!" fetish. As you walk he is right against your legs and then tries to pin your foot down by laying across it.
Poor thing has gone flying quite a few times now cause you can't react quick enough to miss him lol.

I have ragdolls, so I always have cats following me! I have an audience of 5 when in the bathroom. I now have three stray kittens I raised from a couple days old that are now 5 weeks old, and they are following me like the raggies do! My queen rag just had 8 kittens (a week ago) and I am sure when they are a little older, they will be just as bad

If our kitty isn't following me then our dog is and invariably she's close behind. I take it as a compliment that they both want to be with me. Only problem is when Neely jumps up on the couch and the dog isn't allowed to.

We should all accept it - we just need supervision and our cats are just doing his/her job!

I'm watched all the time. One good thing, I'm never lonely - and now I'm not talking to myself anymore!

My Jake is my shadow...he could be sound asleep and I leave the room....a minute later he is there. Even if I am in the bathroom.

My boy follows me room to room also. It gets a little annoying when I'm in the kitchen because he's at my legs when I go to the fridge and then to the counter, then microwave, stove, etc... I have to watch the floor to make sure he hasn't decided to lay down where I'll step on him. Usually, he'll plop dead center... so no matter where I have to go next, I'm stepping over him.

His new thing is sitting in the doorway of the bedroom as I fall asleep, as if protecting me... I'm still getting used to that one, because he used to just lay with me for five minutes of cuddle time and go about his nightly business. Now he just watches, makes me a little nervous.

Well I'm happy to hear that Geronimo isn't the only cat who has "issues"!
But I have to admit, he's not as bad as he used to be! There was a time when we first got him when he wouldn't let me get a good night's rest b/c he wanted attention all the time! At least he's outgrown THAT!

Maverick & Winchester normally follow me around too to some extent, but they don't sit outside the bathroom door whining their heads off like Geronimo does! Sometimes he gets to whining so badly that I have to let him in just to shut him up! What a nut!

Gabriel & Spencer usually don't care too much where I'm at - they're the "hermits" of the bunch and tend to want to be alone most of the time. Except when it comes to bedtime, that is: then they ALL follow me into the bedroom!
But I wouldn't have it any other way!

All three kittens and the dog follow me EVERYWHERE. I was just laughing about this to myself last night when I happened to look up and all four were nearly with-in arm's length of me. My daughter moved out several months ago, so I live alone now - but somehow, I never feel alone.

LOL, these are all too funny! Yes, especially when I sit on the couch & read or compute, I usually have all 7 animals within arm's reach. Smudge and the puppy follow me wherever I go. Tigger, Nadette, Clyde & Elsa usually wait for me to light somewhere then they join me!

Oh yeah...
Miss Tigger follows me everywhere, especially since I returned home from a couple of trips earlier in the summer.
She is always underfoot...follows me when I walk in the door, to the bedroom to change my clothes, to the bathroom (!), back to the TV room, and as soon as I sit down, she is in my lap....
Very strange considering she was a stray....
when I get into bed, there she is curling up next to me....
