That's just an oppinion!
I'm the exact opposite. Mayo tastes spoiled to me. (Esp. Kraft Mayo.)

Mayo is yummy and Miracle Whip is just plain yucky. And as for the Mayo, it has to be either Best Foods or Kraft. I have tried the store brands and they are not all that good.

Chalk up another one for mayo.

The first time I tried Miracle Whip, it gave me food poisoning.

Now I can't even stand the smell of it. It makes me nauseas.
Imagine having to babysit someones kids and throwing up all night. ( I was a nanny at the time.) It was terrible.

Neither

Rob would say Miracle Whip all the way. His mom tells him they are the same, but him and his dad both disagree. (His dad is a mayo guy).

I only use mayo rarely though I am more of a mustard kind of girl.
I use mayo in tuna fish and egg salad and that's about it.

Mayo. Home made is of course the best, but Best Foods/Hellman's is fine. MW is not allowed in my house. Period.

So I thought I'd take a poll. Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip?
and where is the 'neither' choice, for those of us who dislike both?

i've always said: butter is my 'fat of choice'.

Miracle Whip is nasty stuff. DH likes it, but if the knife that spread it so much as touches my food, I can taste it.

I don't eat mayo on sandwiches, but when called for in dips, potato salad, etc, I only use Best Foods.

I prefer Mayo, but my BF agrees with you so that is what we do

Mayo is the base for several things, 2 of which:

1. tarter sauce (add mayo + relish)
2. Thousand Island Dressing (Mayo + Relish + Ketchup)
I stand corrected!
However, they may start out the same, but the end result sure is different! I have to agree with a lot of the people who replied to this thread...mayo is great on/in some things, and MW is on others...totally depends on the countering flavors!
