Cooper was spayed on December 26th.... (Merry Christmas)
I was such a wreck, I cried when they took her away at 7:00am....

Nick tried his best to keep me entertained... we even went to Costco for lunch (one of my favorite thing to do.... go from table to table sampling all the yummy food)

When we went to pick Cooper up at the vet at 4:00pm the assistant looked scared…. “I wouldnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t put my hand in her carrier†was all she said to me…

Coopers eyes were all glazed over and she was hissing and growling! Not taking the assistants advice, I put my hand in her carrier and rubbed her head. Cooper immediately stopped hissing and calmed down. I started to cry again!

We took her home and all she wanted to do was walk around… Cooper would take two steps and slump over. I tried to keep her in the bathroom but she kept jumping over the baby gate!

That night I slept downstairs with Cooper. The next morning she started licking… back the vet I went, and Cooper now gets to wear an e-collar for the next two weeks…

We are all doing fine now; I never released that I would be such a crybaby!

Here are some photos I took of Cooper this after noon!

She still loves her ball... an can now catch it with ease!

Umm.... Cooper looks a little pissed off!!

Check out my cool scar!

Please mommy.... can we take this thing off....

The complete Cooper album

Good to see you back, and I'm so glad everything went well for Cooper. Poor baby having to wear that collar. Cooper can be our latest spy girl with the secret satellite transmissions!

I think it's cool that Cooper calmed down when you scritched her. She definitely loves her Mommy!!

Awww...isn't it just the most horrible experience seeing your baby drugged! I didn't think I would be such a "crybaby" either but I was!!!

They could be twins! Here's Nakita with the "peeved" look. Just tell Cooper that she should be honoured to be the latest spygirl!

If you can, try to take the collar off (for short periods). Then she can go through her grooming sessions which will help calm her. I took Nakita's collar off twice a day and just covered the stitches with my hand. Plus it gave her some relief from the dreaded collar!

Sorry but Cooper looks much more put out with her collar. Thanks for being a responsible pet owner Lhezzza and getting your baby spayed.

I take it off of her in the morning when she has her wet food..... other wise she wears more of the food than eats it! She has been good about not licking her stitches...when she has it off... she concentrates on that her paws...

I still have to keep a very close eye on her, because she loves water so much she ALMOST jumped into the shower with me this morning I caught her in mid-jump! She a sneeky little thing!

Welcome back!!! We missed you!!!

I'm so sorry she's confined to that darn thing. I didn't realize how lucky all our girls were! But, you did the right thing and it's almost over now....

Sorry we weren't here to cry with you!

I am glad she is home safe and sound. Everyday it will get better and soon the dreaded collar can be removed!

Cooper went in for a follow up visit today....
Vet said the collar can come off...

Her stitches are completely healed and there is no chance of "spillage" (sorry for such a graphic word!)

Happy New Year!

I'm happy to hear Cooper's free from the collar, although she did look quite glamorous in it. And now you can concentrate on out-talking Laurie! We've had to do our own cheating in the Alphabet Game, too. Missed you!
