Ok, pictures tomorrow for their one week birthday, I promise!!!

Here are some things I've been wondering.

When do I start clipping their nails?? (it amazes me how long and sharp they are already!!!)
Also, I found ONE dreaded awful flea, on my little favorite girl too. Upon deep inspection this is the only flea and I wasn't able to catch it. How fast will they multiply and when can everyone be given an actual bath??? When are flea medications from the vet generally safe for babies?

God, I think of a million questions, then when I go to ask them, I forget them!!!

But thanks to everyone who's been such a huge help. (which includes most of the veterans here!!)

I clip the tiny tips of the nails at 3-4 weeks old with a regular nail clipper (small one).

You can wash them starting at 4-6 weeks old. Be sure they are kept out of any kind of drafts/fans/air conditioners.

I would contact your vet regarding the fleas. Be sure to keep kittens and mom combed till you can use something.

when I handraise kittens I trim their nails within a day or so...I use baby nail clippers and lots of light...never hurt any and am very careful. When a mom cat delivered I waited till they were 2 1/2 weeks(starting to explore and figured it was good time as any).

They haven't opened their eyes yet, and I can't wait!!!

Thankfully, the nesting box we bought and set up was plenty roomy, so the kittens crawl around in there and there's plenty of space to stay safe and comfy.

my vet told me to use the frontline spray on my kittens when they were 1 week old. You can only use very little, i was told to spray very little on my hand and then wipe it on them. It worked, they are 3 weeks old now, and flea free!

My vet will give Capstar for fleas, for kittens as young as 4 weeks old. But definitely check with yours to see what he/she recommends.
