I stayed at a relative's for about a week. My mom was there with me, but she went home yesterday morning. She said when she got home Moonlight was really upset with us for being gone so long. I had decided to stay with my aunt so I wasn't home yet. She said Moonlight was walking around my bedroom for two hours straight meowing nonstop. It took her 6 hours for her to calm him down. She called me yesterday evening and as soon as I got up this morning, I was at the airport going home. (I would of otherwise left Monday) As soon as I got in my room, there was my baby boy plopped in my reading chair waiting. Whenever we go on vacation, he's always mad at us when we get home for leaving him. He gave me the cold shoulder for a few hours but has warmed up now.
I wanted to bring him but my aunt has a dog, 2 cats and a turtle and he hates other animals.

Yep, a few of my cats get angry with us when we leave...the rest just smother us as soon as we get home. I remember my parent's dog when I was growing up would do that. They boarded him at a kennel when we went on vacation, which wasn't very often. But when they went to pick him up, he literally turn his nose up at them and turn his head like he didn't want to look at them. DEFINITELY gave them the cold shoulder! He would get in the car with a sign that clearly said "I'll go home with you if I most, but I don't like you right now!". Once home, he would sulk for a day or two until he got it out of his system. Treats, walks, nothing would make him forgive them until he was good and ready. Animals have feelings too.

Lol, I agree! I totally have to earn Moonlight's affection! I keep kissing him and hugging him, cuddling him, playing catnip, but I guess it will just take a few days. I think he's trying to teach me a lesson about leaving him behind. :p

Awww..don't worry, Moonlight will come around (love the name, btw!). He just needs to "punish" you! He's really happy to have you home...he just has too much pride right now to show it. Tomorrow he will be climbing in your lap saying "ok, now is payback time! You are my slave!!" hehe
