Its watermelon day today...and I love watermelon. I think I just might have some today

Going to the ribfest this weekend, and the beach

I knew something wasn't quite right about today. I don't like watermelon. It's probably the only fruit I don't like.

Ah well, it's Friday!! Hopefully my boss will go play golf again this afternoon so we can close early.
After work I go pick up my new glasses.

And that's about all I have planned for today. I need to find something fun to do this weekend. We're supposed to have beautiful weather.
I have lots of cleaning to do, but that's no fun.

I'm finally back from Paris and so pleased to see the babies again

I've done all my washing and it's drying lovely on the line.

Going to my friends daughters house warming party tonight. Theres about 30 going so i hope i get a seat because i'm fed up of standing and walking

interesting weather here today... apparently the weather people are giving us a high heat and humidity warning, a smog warning and a severe thunderstorm warning.
So it might actually be a good thing for me to be stuck in a air-conditioned office today. But the fun part will be getting there.

It's nice and overcast here today. I have a feeling the humidity will rise and it'll be a stinky day. Got woken up by a violent thunderstorm last night. I had to rush around shutting all the windows.
Today is my pottering around getting ready and not really achieving much day.
I love watermelon, so I'll have to go out and get some to celebrate Watermelon Day!
Nat - I went to the Ribfest the other weekend.

Tried a few interesting beers and the ribs are delicious. Have fun!

Glad it's FINALLY Friday. Been fixing disaster @ work for 4 days. I need a vacation and give them my 2 week notice when coming back.

Left the kitties plenty of food for this weekend. I am leaving right after work tonight. I gave my kitties lots of love and attention this morning. Summer must have sense it because she was yelling at me while wanting attention at the same time! Scott is stopping home this afternoon before leaving to check on them and to pack his stuff.

We are staying at a hotel for a wedding. Scott's cousin is getting married. Should be fun, and it is nice to get away for awhile! Lots of pool fun tonight!

Wicked thunderstorm here lastnight,

but it did very little to cool down the high temps and humidity.

Heading out to work in a bit and feeling very jealous of all those people with the weekend off.

The kitties are good, napping right now they were up most of the night because of the storm...

Good morning! The telephone woke me up today...but it was an unknown number.

I have another eye dr appt this afternoon. I'm hoping and praing that they won't want me to 'follow up' again for a while! I'm sooooo tired of going!!!

After that is a wedding tonight. I am most likely going with my Mom. I've known the Bride for a long time but I'm not close with her. I'm guessing that is why DH and I didn't get an actual invite to the wedding. My step-aunt and the bride's mother were close friends when they lived overseas and the kids were all small. Then when we moved here my aunt put us in touch with her friend, so we've been close with them ever since. My step-dad has a retirement ceremony today to go to, so most likely he won't be back in tim so Mom and I will go.

My only reason for not wanting to go is that the Brides's youngest brother is best friends with the guy i had a major crush on when I was about 13-15 and for some reason people still think that's funny. (I've always been embarassed about it, he is older than me.) The guy just recently moved back to our area and I'm assuming he will be there. I just may have to say something if anyone does say anything. I wouldn't worry so much about that if DH was going with me.

Guess I just might have to put my 'Boss' face on and let 'em know I mean business!

I am headed for my lakehouse early tomorrow morning, and staying till late sunday night. I cant WAIT!!!! Going to go fishing, snorkeling, and just be lazy...did i mention, drinks?lol

Something was up with PHX I woke up to him meowing his head off. Usually he is cuddling in bed with me when I wake up, then starts meowing... not today! He woke up before my alarm went off... I fed him and gave him water, so he should be good for the day.

I'm off to work in 10 minutes. I hate 13 hour days but I'm off tomorrow

Ought to be an interesting day today. I just don't feel like doing anything...
It's hot and yucky outside, so it'll be hot and yucky inside. Oh well, I'm off tomorrow and I'll be fine.

The cats are sitting in the windows looking at all the world going by. I wish I had their life sometimes.

Ah to be a cat in a cat lovers household!

Hi everyone!!!

TGIF! I LOVE Fridays, because I get off work at 3pm. 2 hours doesn't seem like much extra, but it sure seems a lot earlier to me!

Watermelon, I love watermelon! I'll definitely have to get some on the way home to snack on. I'm going to do my Pilates, take a shower and play with my kitties, then off for game night with friends.

Hello!!!

Its a very nice day today and this weekend. Sure could you some serious or any rain though-stuff is getting mighty dry.
Went to a couple estate/rummage sales today. Picked a a few small items but saving up for this weekend as we are going to Chicago area tomorrow and attending the Kane County Flea Mkt which is HUGH!!!!!
Neil's going golfing tonite-might rent a movie.
Other than that-enjoying the cooler/less humid weather.

I have to go back to work today after 9 days off...but then Im off this weekend

I just dont like the hours theyve stuck me with...2:15-10:45 but its ok...If I can just make it through 8 hours Im free again!
