My brother's little boy is nine years old, and his name is Grant. He's been going to a tennis daycamp this summer, and today was the last day, but my brother had to be somewhere else, so Grant's mother took him to the camp.

All the kids were given commemorative camp T-shirts, and some of them also got trophies for their accomplishments. After all the awards, Grant went to one of the coaches and asked if he could have a grown-up-size T-shirt for his dad. The coach said, "Well, I can't just give you another shirt, but... you could take it instead of the trophy."

And Grant gave up his shiny gold trophy so he and his dad could have matching shirts.

I love that kid so.

Aw, such a good and thoughtful young man! He must love his dad so much to give up a trophy for a t-shirt for him!

Aw, thank you -- I think so too. But don't get any ideas -- I've already got him set up for an arranged marriage with SwampWitch's daughter!

What a wonderful little boy! I bet his parents are very proud of him! I bet that shirt is all the more special to his Dad too because of the story behind it.

Over the river and through the woods...
That is so sweet! At least there are some kids out there that are still giving and caring. Kids nowadays seem to not care about anyone but themselves (based on news reports, not personal experience) It is good to hear of one that gives. You, and his family, must be so proud of him!
