Whew, not long now!! I'll be 30 weeks pregnant tomorrow, and everything is still going pretty smoothly. I don't like my obstetrician, but I change over to a different one next week - yay!

I was looking at the webpage for the heart specialists I see, and they have a staff webpage of people in different disciplines who specialise in this particular sort of condition, and under obstetricians is the guy I'm going to be seeing (and not my current OB). I was pretty sure he knew more about aortic aneurysms, and seemed more suited to me, but now I'm even more confident he knows what he's talking about

So we've got the crib and dresser/changing table up now, and we have a port-a-cot, bassinet and baby bath. I've just washed and put away all the sheets and clothes people have given us so far - I can't believe how lucky we've been, we have a heap of stuff already!

We're having a baby shower/BBQ on September 1 which should be fun - we're just going to a park and partners and children are invited, so we can just have a nice relaxing afternoon with our friends.

Little Joshua is moving around HEAPS and has had hiccups 3 times in the last 2 days which has been funny! He also responds to music played through headphone on my belly (he seems to like jazz!), and responds to his daddy rubbing my belly and talking to him
I can't wait to meet the little guy!

And some belly photos:

This is at 14 weeks when I thought I had a baby belly happening and was very excited

26 weeks:

And today at 30 weeks:

Sarah you look about like I did at 30 weeks -- if I wore a baggy enough shirt you couldn't really tell I was pg. That last 8 weeks, though -- Whoo BOY!! did she 'blossom out'

I'm so pleased you've had few complications -- pregnancy is stressful enough on those without pre-existing conditions such as yours. Thrilled to hear you've found an OB you're more confident in. Enjoy these last weeks, and get ready for a love you never believed possible!!!

Wow! You look soooo cute! (even if your head wasn't showing!) I didn't know you'd picked a name yet (must have missed that somewhere) but I love the name Joshua! I always wanted to have a son named Joshua Jacob, but then when DH and I got married I gained a nephew with that name! It is also the name of my first crush.

I can't wait to see your lil guy! He's gonna have such a good life with you as his Mommy and with his daddy too!

Ps...love the shower curtain!

Congrats!!!
Sending vibes for a wonderful pregnancy!
I was still not showing at 4 and a half months pregnant when I was a surrogate. But you never know how big they'll be until they come out!
Did they estimate how big he is now?

Wow, you are hardly showing at all! Lucky you! Do you have someone designated here to notify when everything happens? You know we have a need to know, LOL!

How exciting! You must be due around the same time as my sister (also having a boy) she's due Oct 11th. We went out yesterday and bought a bunch of clothes for the baby, so many cute little outfits available. Not enough to make me want one though

1) LOL, due date for a "Valentine's" baby is November 7.

2) Tell them they can only name him Wolfgang if they pronounce it properly ("W" sounds like "V")

Just kidding. Well, not about the Nov 7 thing. My kids are both born in November.

Thanks all, it's all very exciting, and we're getting in as many trips to the movies and time together as we can, and sleeping as much as we possibly can as well.

People keep assuming I'm in the middle of my second trimester, maybe at the start and are usually surprised when I tell them I'm much further along! I know it'll start exploding soon! I think I have a fairly long torso, so he's got a fair bit of room in there. I have another photo where I REALLY look pregnant, but I'm just wearing lycra shorts and a bra, so didn't think I should post that here

They haven't estimated his birth weight yet (and I think it's pretty inaccurate anyway), but at my last growth ultrasound he was measuring right on what he should be. I have another growth ultrasound next week so I'll see if they can tell me that then.

moochnnoodles - I wasn't sure if I'd said we'd pretty much decided on a name yet, I may not have
It's most probably going to be Joshua Lawrence unless we decide he doesn't look like a Joshua when he comes out :p

kluchetta - I don't have a designated person who I'm going to keep update yet, but I'll do that. We'll probably make up a mailing list for the birth announcement, and hubby will send an email out once he's born.

missymotus - yes, I'm due October 12 - I'll race your sister :p
