Woohoo!!!! I just received my new Dell laptop today. I am one happy camper. I have not yet turn it on but I took some pictures of it. Just to share my joy.

Sure is pretty! Did you buy it in red to match the walls?
What we need is a cat sitting next to it to get a sense of perspective; I can't tell how big it is.

Yea, I did.
. I wanted an orange one to match the wall in my work room, however Dell does not offer orange. The screen is 14.1, so it is small. I will try to get Rupert or Stewie to pose with it next time.

I currently have a Toshiba Tecra Laptop... LOOOOVE IT, never have had any problems... its just 3 or 4 years old & its just coming close to time to upgrade


Guess I'll be getting another Toshiba

that said, i HATE DELL!!!! they have the WORST customer service, and comps ( sorry!)

i have a HP laptop, and would buy another in a HEARTBEAT!!!!

We just ordered a monitor from them on Monday. It says 1-2 weeks.

My first laptop, purchased in 1993, was a HP. Believe it or not, it's still in working order, and I use it as an electronic dictionary.

I ordered it 7/25/2007, modified the order on 7/27/2007 and received it on 8/2/2207. It was fast for me. What did you get?

Yea, people do have problem with Dell's customer service in past years but now Michael Dell is back at the helm, things are getting better at Dell. While it is not great but it is an improvement over the past.

As we, the customers, requesting cheaper and cheaper computers, all computer makers margins are razor thin. Customer support, tech support or any kind of support costs the most money. That is where they cut. If some one wants better support, you can actually purchase better support or if you purchase their top of the line product, in this case Dell XPS, you will get US support staff.

My personal experience has been great so far, my XPS system had a minor problem and they immediately Fedex next day air the part to me. This new lappy I just got, has a grainy screen and they are sending out a tech to replace it. It is not XPS, just a mass produced lappy. So, I am happy so far.
