What are the signs of labor?

Hello, we have a pregnant cat Spooky that is on her 61st to 62nd day of pregnancy...almost 9 weeks! We are excited but nervous


We are pretty nervous because we don't know all the signs when she is going to give birth...hopefully she lets us know in the 12-24 time period that all the articles said she would. We just don't know what to expect...

She will be having her babies by the time we can come on here again. If we can figure out the whole picture thing, there is going to be photos too! We'll keep you updated

You'll probably hear a loud meow from the momma kitty.

She might even go into the litter and plop one of her babies out. That was what happened to my boyfriend's mother's cat when she gave birth.

Good luck, my cat didn't do anything by the book.
Just keep eyes and ears open. She went to 64 days....didn't go off her food! Had a midnight feast the night it happened.....did no nesting.
But it all went well and she produced 5 kittens in hour and a half........under the bed at 2am.
Look forward to hearing all.

We are happy to say that our cat Spooky had a successful birth!


She gave birth to 3 kittens but sadly the 2nd kitten ended up being stillborn & it happened to be a breech delivery too. She had a tough time with the 2nd one and she needed our assistance to get it out of the birth canal.

But thankfully there are 2 beautiful healthy kittens! They are mostly black with orange spots & white bellies
We will have pictures soon! We are breathing a sigh of relief! We couldn't be happier!
