I have a couple cats that look skinnier than she is, and they're perfectly healthy. One is 1 year old and the other is 3. I feed them as much as they'll eat twice a day.

I think she looks great! I like all my animals to be on the lean side. It's so much better for overall health.

I guess Im just used to fat house cats she is the first kitten Ive had since my Tigger grew up and he's huge and not because I dont feed him properly either...hes on science diet weight management and nothing seems to do the trick with him...She is extremely active so Im sure that helps keep her on the lean side

My brother's cat is quite fat, and they have the same problem. They cut his food down to barely nothing and he was still fat. They checked thyroid, blood panel, etc, and he was perfectly healthy. All it did was make him hungry and start to get on the counter, cupboards, etc.

I like the active cats. I have three that race all over the house with the dogs, and two (the oldest ones) that lay around looking at them like they've lost their marbles.

Post some pics of her face if you get a mintue, she has beautiful colouring!

I couldn't help but notice the World of Warcraft Keyboard in the background of one of the pics. You play?

How much does she weigh now? She looks slendar, but it would depend on how she really felt in your hands. You can be slendar and weigh more then you appear - cause its muscle.

Charlie weighs a solid (muscle) 10 lbs now and Ling weighs 9.5 lbs - but picking them up, Ling feels lighter then Charlie. Charlie has better muscle tone then Ling does right now.

she looks fine but make sure you address that with her vet....

as for the cubby one you may want to try high protein moderate fat ... instead of the current HIGH HIGH carb HIGH HIGH fiber low fat

Unless the cat is of the oriental/siamese type in body, then I go (in general) about 1 pound per month of age. Sometimes its a pound ahead but approximately. So she would be about right - maybe a bit on the light side.

Charlie's been running about a pound ahead per month of age; e.g. at 4 months old he weighed 5 lbs. He's 11 months now and weighs a solid 10 lbs. He'll be about 11-12 lbs when fully grown (18-24 months). So he's right on track
