(I tried really hard to find an article you would actually read without dismissing it as biased)

Strange that a group that "isn't in control" is negotiating with other country's presidents.

We NEVER actually succeeded in getting the Taliban out of Afghanistan. We pushed them out of power and had them running, but there are areas controlled by the drug lords (who have their own armies) and elsewhere that we have never controlled.

EXACTLy, we pushed them out of power and had them on the run.

I never said we killed every single one of the Taliban and AlQueda in Afghanistan. I guess that is what it will take before people can say we achieved our objective there.


The Taliban are not more powerful in Afghanistan than they were pre 9-11 Kit.
They are not in control of the country's govt. They are just coming back in to kill more people.

I guess we should not have retaliated in any way, shape or form after 9-11.
We should have just rolled over and played dead. Now, THAT would have prevented any more future attacks. Wave that white flag.

Your use of the past tense was appropriate. We would have acheived our objective had we not abandoned Afghanistan half-way and sent all resources to Iraq.

Doesn't change the fact that Obama is a nutcase and doesn't have a clue what he is talking about IMO.

So, in other words, you are NOT in favour of getting Al-Qaeda, and you ARE in favour of mincing around elsewhere and allowing them to rise to greater heights of power. Hmmm.
