Strange that a group that "isn't in control" is negotiating with other country's presidents.
We NEVER actually succeeded in getting the Taliban out of Afghanistan. We pushed them out of power and had them running, but there are areas controlled by the drug lords (who have their own armies) and elsewhere that we have never controlled.
