The last I heard the Taliban did not control Afghanistan anymore. Did that change? And if not, WHY is the Taliban not in control of Afghanistan anymore. It couldn't have anything to do with us.

Strange that a group that "isn't in control" is negotiating with other country's presidents.
We NEVER actually succeeded in getting the Taliban out of Afghanistan. We pushed them out of power and had them running, but there are areas controlled by the drug lords (who have their own armies) and elsewhere that we have never controlled.
