Ok, so I have to go and pick up some more KMR sometime this evening. I know the pet store about half an hour away carries it but I'm trying to find somewhere a little closer so we can just run and pick it up this evening. We've got a Kroger's, a JC (owned by Kroger), and a Pamida about 10 minutes from here. I've called every one of them and was told by every single one "Well, I've never seen it around here anywhere, so I don't think we have it". Would it kill them to go check? Seriously, isn't that what they're getting paid for?

thats where you say " can i speak to your manager?" that gets the whip cracked fast at my retail shop.

most workers at places like that are underpaid and overworked, and are SOOO mad at the company the could care less about the customer, and i know, cause im one of those underpaid ones, lol. I do send the customer at LEAST to the right department's number, and let the dept head take it from there.

I live in a small town with a Kroger, and a Pamida, and a JC about 10 or 15 mins away.. There are the most unhelpful people known to man...

Pamida is useless when it comes to having anything,, Krogers isn't too bad,, they usually carry some stuff,, but your better off just driving the 45 minutes to Cincinnati and going to Petsmart...

My DH hates Menards - he feels the people that work there don't have a CLUE as to where things are and if you have any questions re: building, etc. - they don't know the answer.

He'll go to Home Depot first. He's good at fixing things and normally doesn't need help in finding what he needs, but sometimes he is not sure.

As a side note most of the stuff you see in pet food stores are carried only at those particular stores.

My rule of thumb is: if you canfind a coupon for the product out of the Sunday ads, then you'll find it anywhere.

Extremely curious as to where you live now... from your description it sounds to me like you live about 10 minutes away from me!

I agree with those who suggested that you should speak to the manager. If the floor staff is unhelpful then a chat with the manager will most likely get quicker results.
I have found that this to be the case in a lot of the larger chain stores.

This was brought to my attention this morning and I am here to help. This is actually my specialty. I run the Customer Relations Department for all Pamida's in the Upper Midwest. I am very curious as to what particular items you are looking for and where your Hometown Pamida is located. If it is distributed by one of our vendors, I can probably get it in our stores.

In defense of our employees, if we don't carry it, it can't very well be the fault of our employees. That responsibility lies with our buyers. Maybe you are more annoyed with them.

Feel free to contact me at: [email protected] and I will be happy to do anything I can do to help the situation

I believe they were irritated because they employees didn't bother to go check if the store carried it, just said no because "they had never seen it".

I see where you are coming from. The employees should have gone back and checked. You are correct. However, many times our "Teammates" have worked with us for a while and we tend to carry many of the same products because that is what many of our customers want. If one of them said they had never seen it before, then I would believe them.

I still don't know what we're talking about here. Is it some particular brand of cat food? I would be happy to help, if somebody would fill me in.
