Hey guys, just wanted to share an email I received this morning about little Rosie (now Porsche), my foster baby who went home last Friday. I know a lot people on TCS have said they'd find it too hard to foster because of the temptation to keep every kitty and how difficult it is to let them go. But, there is such a need for foster homes and cases like this make it so rewarding:

"Thanks so much for being such a great foster mom for Porsche, Eileen.
She is indeed a very energetic, spunky little girl! You did a great
job of socializing her and teaching her litter box etiquette. From
Liz's description I expected her to be talkative but she is very
quiet - except for that great purr.

It is so much fun to watch her throw all of her energy into her play
then run purposefully to her blankets and almost immediately fall
asleep. She seems very comfortable in her own little room and likes
to play with Corvette when he visits. She weighed 2.0 pounds on our
baby scale on Sunday.

Thank you so much for helping to save this precious little life!"

Please consider fostering if you have the time and space. It's so worth it!

It's lovely to see people do this. Such big hearts. I'd be crying every time a kitten left! lol

The lady we got our boys from has so many abandoned kittens come in. Her and her husband built an extension on their garage, specially equipped to house the kittens, it has all special air filters and everything.

She was explaining to us they rely on donations and end up going about 17g a year in to their own pockets.

It truly takes a special type of person.

I'm in awe of people like that. It truly takes a person with committment and compassion to do what they're doing.

It really does. The goodbye's are hard, though. Got another one coming with Georgie on Friday.
