Just Kidding.

This is Nala. She is a 7mo Fawn Aby that we will be showing in the TICA Annual. When we got her we thought she tend to become a Ragdoll but she is teaching our Raggies to be Abys. They are climbing all over everything.

Pretty little girl...and did you HONESTLY think that an ABY would mellow like a Ragdoll. She's an Aby - they rule the house you know. Any cat with aby in them does....Charlie is an Ocicat - wouldn't expect him not to be top cat

Good luck in the shows.

I know I know.

But I have never owned a Aby before and she is out numbered 10 to 1.

She is really a nut! She loves to be scratched on the head and gives strong headbutts. It will be alot of fun showing her. We love her to death.

Most excellent, love the head!
May be the pic but I don't really see fawn? Nice even ticking, side and profile shots please?

My good friend Olivia and her mother Amy, who are Ragdoll breeders owns one of my pet Abys - and yes, he DOES rule the roost and yes, the Raggies are becoming more and more Aby everyday! According to them, at just under 2 years, Rudy the Aby (who was neutered at 4 months btw) is finally beginning to calm down a bit

The pic is off color. I'll try to take some better ones and get some profiles. The darkness on the back, side and tail in the pic are not there in real life. She is one tone. Like a paper bag.

She will be neutered right after the Annual.

Congratulations, Nala is adorable

Your raggies will never be the same, I'm in trouble for having Demetri (Ocicat) corrupt all my sisters cats that we live with

This seems like a good place to ask this question somehow!

I have a soft spot for ragdolls and they're really easy to get hold of here in Japan (unlike the Siamese - I want one so badly!!!)... but a lot of people have told me that they won't match very well with my Russian Blue and Abyssinian.
Then I read this post and noticed that you have an Abyssinian living with Ragdolls so perhaps it's not as impossible as people have made out!

Do they all get along well? The Ragdolls don't want to punch Nala in the face for being so crazy?

Die,

RB's and Raggies are fairly quiet cats (RB's especially). You know your cats bettre then we do; how active are they. Believe me Abys are very active. I thought Rexes were active/goofy till we got Charlie (Ocicat) - the Oci's have them beat by a mile.

But we woudn't have it any other way.

Nala gets along with all the Ragdolls. She really has a nice temperament. There are times when she gets a game of chase going with several of Raggies.

If you can...imagine 1 fully grown Red Mac Tabby NFO + 1 Brown Tabby White 10 month old Maine Coon, and then imagine a 6 month old Ruddy Aby...guess who's chasing who?

I do absolutely adore my Abys!

She is a gorgeous girl!
And should keep your Raggies "on their toes!"

Haha, so basically... a ragdoll wouldn't be totally terrified being brought into my household then?

It's still early days so, Shinya (my Russian Blue) is still the boss and trying to set the boundaries... but I can see Yuna (my Abyssinian) slowly gaining control and Shinya's personality is actually changing! Though I think Shinya would appreciate a much more mellow Ragdoll to spend her time with at times.

We'll see... if I decide to get a 3rd kitten, it won't be until Christmas time anyway so I've got plenty of time to think!
