A new treat and some exotic cat diet questions

First off I gave my new Somali kitten some raw orangic Bison meat, which he loved,Bindi has had it before and he nibbled a bit, I get the burgers at lunds and its aready ground up, I only give a little at a time.He LOVED it and I'm pleased beause one day I want to have him on raw.


I'm writing a fiction novel about a couple in Boston wth two adopted children were were born in the congo but moved to the USA. Now eight years after being cilivlized in a city by the sea, they are changing from Human to leopard, before they were seprated they were given a lick of love from a wild leopard female she wanted them to change, sense they were going to be parted.

Now for the story, I want to know about the diet that captive African leopards get in rescue centers or zoo, or even those who are privitely owned. Also I want to know how much it would cost, a month, a week, a year to feed a leopard in a captive suitaton. I'm assuming they eat Raw, but I'm not sure.

Why not contact the Minneapolis zoo or the Como Park zoo and ask to speak to someone in nutrition department - particularly the leopards. Tell them you need to research (what your questions were) and any info they can provide would be most helpful

PS If anyone on here's trying to feed raw to a kitten and needs help converting from rugular cat food. heres a tip. I just offer a bit of raw ground Bison hamburger and, its only a small step frm there
