Scabby Nose?

Thread Starter
I have a 4 year old female calico cat who is mostly an an indoor cat (expect when we are out in the country once a month) this past weekend I noticed she has gotten a scabby crusty nose . It seems to be healing a little, but very slowly. She is not in any discomfort that I can tell, her eating habits are the same and she is still playing wit her older brother....I am wondering if anyone knows what could be the cause of her nose...is it a sunburn or something
Any feedback would be great

Your description could be of my cat! I have a 4 year old calico, mostly indoor, recently with scabs. Otherwise acts normal. What happened with your cat?
Thanks

I wonder if it could be similar to what my kittens had. Their noses had brown specks on them and when I tried to scratch them off they felt like scabs and would fall off (only to be replaced by a new scab.) They were being treated for ringworm when they developed it, and the vet assumed it was a bacterial infection and put them on amoxicilin. I must say I expected it to resolve sooner but it took them three weeks of amoxi treatment to clear up. So whether it was a bacterial infection or amoxi didn't have an effect on it and it just disappeared on its own, I don't know.
