Rushing his cat to the vet

This is a rather bizarre story: http://www.nbc5i.com/news/13783378/d...s=dfw&psp=news

It's probably true, but if the guy really has 50 cats, he may need a mental health evaluation.

Wow. You know i hate to be grim on this, but if an animal is that far gone rushing to the vet won't help. Probably the best they could do is put the animal down. though.

Also during this 45 minute chase through a couple counties didn't he pass a couple of vet offices on the way?

That was my thought as well. It seems as though he used the cat as an excuse to partake in a police chase and if that is the case he really does need a sanity evaluation.

The man obviously needs help. I understand pet emergencies, but not refusing to pull over, pet or human emergency. At least explain....or call 911 and explain why you're not pulling over....use some sense....That seems like an awful long ride to a vet.....

I live and work just down the street from where this all took place, and I just don't get it...he drove about 40 miles in the opposite direction from where he lived, and then turned around...duh?? I feel sorry for the cat that was found inside his car..dead..not knowing how it died...At his home they were going to remove a large amount of animals today..sounds like a hoarder..and he had made threats to some of his neighbors in the past...I am glad he is behind bars now..

Thats sad.

I agree though, he should have at least pulled over or called 911...

I don't care what your reason for speeding and running from the cops is, PULL OVER!!!!! If it is so important that you should get into a high speed chase you should stop and tell the officer. If it is really a good reason for speeding the officer will escort you, that way your drive will be much safer!

Exactly!! I would much rather take the 2 minutes (if I'm in labor) to pull over and get the cop to escort me to the hospital rather than trying to outrun him.
