She has always been somewhat of a chatterbox. She has a pair of rolled up socks that she adopted when she was 4 months old and she carries them from whatever room she left them in to the room I'm currently in all the while frantically meowing to announce her arrival. She doesn't sleep with them or play with them, she just brings them, drops them near me and wants pets.
Anyway, lately (the last few months) she's taken to chattering and chattering! All you have to do is look at her and her eyes get big and her ears perk up and she meows. Not just any meow, she sounds like a baby cougar. And she makes that sound while she's been brushed or having pets or if you stop petting her.
The only time I hear her making a normal cat's meowing sound is when she's carrying those socks. All the rest of the time she "Meps" or makes that baby cougar sound
