Sometimes its hard to tell the difference between a really good home and a really bad home. There have been times I was turned down to adopt a cat - ME! The girl who sings to her furkids, cooks them food 2x/day (Boo won't eat raw
), and arranges for her MIL (the former vet tech) to come by and check on them if I'm going to be gone more than a few hours. Me, the girl who can't walk two feet without tripping over someones toys and whose mother actually refers to the furkids as her grandbabies. I'm not trying to toot my own horn here... all I'm trying to say is my babies are spoiled, and even I've been turned down in favor of someone who lied through their teeth and ended up dropping the cat off at a local kill shelter after a week. And I don't fault the foster mom... she honestly thought the other family was better.
I'm not trying to make you feel worse... just trying to say that some people just know what to say.. they know what heartstrings to tug... they know how to look you in the eye and swear up and down that the baby will have the best life imaginable, even if they know its not true. It's not your fault.
Sometimes, it just happens. It's all about how you deal with it after it happens, and right now I think you're doing a fantastic job
