Diet for cats and humans

Good morning everyone!!!

Mr. Nippers is down to a trim 13.5 pounds from 18 pounds. The vet is very happy. I think I need to figure out his diet. LOL

Does anyone out there know of a good safe diet of humans??

Yeah it was those cheesy poofs that got me....that and beefcakes 2000!

Don't feel bad...I need to lose about 20 lbs myslef, and I am REALLY dreading the whole diet thing which I am about to embark on starting the first full week in January. (I always have to start diets on Monday's don't ask me why)

Just about everyone I know starts diet on Mondays. I think it gives us the weekend to have our final indulgences...like ice cream and chessy poofs. :icecream:

I guess I'm not the only one who is going on a diet! I've actually tried eating somewhat better this week. I've "almost" elimated all sodas...but I allow myself to have one per week. I weighed myself yesterday and I lost 5 pounds!! That tells you just how many sodas I have everyday!! Yippy! I still have 25 more pounds to go....

After looking through my family photo album, I have given up on diets. It appears that the darker the hair, the shorter and rounder the women. My hair is dark brown, so I am short and round like the rest of them. I watched my mom struggle unsuccessfully with her weight for years. She was on diet pills for years. She did not get much smaller, and they made her crazy. I am not going to do that to myself. I could stand to lose some weight, but I am not going to kill myself to do it. My last doctor said he could not believe how otherwise healthy I am, besides being overweight. No high blood pressure or anything.
