I'm hoping you can solve this for me. This is Gemini, she's my moms baby. We actually adopted her as a family cat, but no... Gemmy decided she belonged to mom and thats all

So for years we've been calling her a calico, but after seeing pics on here, I'm thinking she might actually be a tortie... god knows she has the attitude for it

Tell me what you think...

(Oh and btw, doesn't she look good for 15?
)

She's beautiful. I'm thinking she is closer to a calico because the black and orange are more distinct. But she is very close to the brindled color so she could go either way.

She looks wonderful for 15, and the 'tude is there in her eyes! Tortie and white, I think would be correct. There's not enough white, and the black and red are too blended for her to be a calico -- she would need to be basically a white cat with patches of black and red.

She looks more like a tortie to me.
And wow, does she ever look great for her age!

Yay I thought she was a tortie. That totally explains the tortitude

Although now that I'm thinking of it, she might be a tux-tortie. You can't see it in the picture, but she also has some white on her feet and a little on her chest like Peewee does.

Either way...

Oh and Gem would like you all to know that yes, she also thinks she looks darn good for 15
(She was purring on the phone when I told my mom she was a tortie
) She's still as spry as a kitten and still jumps to the top of the fridge!

She does look great for 15. Oh, and I personally believe that calico's (and tri-colors in general) have that cat-itude!

I agree, they definitly both do as we have one of each. But for us it's our Calico thats got more of an attitude
