Sorry guys, I was being a spotlight hog and forgot to pass this on yesterday! It was fun to share a little more about myself with you all!

Up this week is the gorgeous Renovia, meowmy to the equally gorgeous Luxor and Stoli.

Here's my questions to start you off!!

1. How did you get those 2 gorgeous kitties of yours, and what made you decide on those breeds?

2. You have an interest in trance, what made you decide to write your own rather than just dance to it? How do you make that style of music, and where do you get your inspiration?

3. Do you make the music just for yourself and share with your friends, or do you try to get it played by clubs? ie. Is it a hobby, or something more serious?

4. What other interests do you have?

5. What's been your most memorable holiday?

I'll think of more, this is just to get everyone started - enjoy!!!

1. How did you get those 2 gorgeous kitties of yours, and what made you decide on those breeds?

Stoli: Once DH and I decided we were going to take the plunge and purchase a home, I started looking for a cat. I found a picture of myself and a grey cat that I was cat sitting..... I thought back to all the cats I've been enthralled with and they all were grey. Even in elementary school I was drawn to grey cats. So I looked on line at breeds because at the time there were no grey cats or even kittens at the shelters (yes I know, it's kinda vain). I found his breeder on line. We talked through email and phone and when the time came he flew from Kansas to Texas to Mass then drove with me in the pouring rain to Maine. I was the first person he saw when I got him, and I spent the most time with him once we got him home, and the flight being so traumatic i think that's why he bonded with me so well.

Luxor: We had been talking about getting another cat because Stoli seemed bored, even though I was home all day. But we decided to put it off because he was so stand-off-ish to anyone but us, we figured he'd hate a new cat.

Well, it was a beautiful fall day in October and I had read in Cat Fancy that there was going to be a show in Saco Maine that was featuring Maus, Bengals and Ocicats.

DH said as we were getting in the car, 'you know we aren't coming home with another cat today, right?' I said I knew, but I wanted to see a show.

I had been emailing a Mau breeder from Maine once I knew about the local show but had told her that I wasn't ready to adopt a cat yet. We found her at the show and her DH asked my DH if he wanted to hold a kitten. DH said,'you're cruel'.....he picked the most laid back kitten of the bunch and help him and that was it. I didn't push him into adopting him, he just said, ok!

2. You have an interest in trance, what made you decide to write your own rather than just dance to it? How do you make that style of music, and where do you get your inspiration?

I wanted to write my own trance because I wanted to see if I could come up with something as relaxing and interesting as what I heard on XM. It was really fun and exciting for me to sit down and try to think like Armin van Buuren. I compose using GarageBand loops and MIDI and extra loops from a Soundtrack program. Whenever I hear something interesting in a new song I always analyze it and try to recreate it in my music, so I remember why I liked it.

3. Do you make the music just for yourself and share with your friends, or do you try to get it played by clubs? ie. Is it a hobby, or something more serious?

It's just a hobby, and I don't share it with anyone but my friends here at TCS! (oh and my iPod
)

4. What other interests do you have?

I love crafty things, like cross stitching, needlepoint, sculpture, photography, scrapbooking, stamping, screen printing, painting (acrylic, watercolor) you name it. I do it all - but not well. I should really buckle down and try to do something well huh?

5. What's been your most memorable holiday?

I remember a Christmas when I was starting to think Santa was my parents. And I had asked for XCountry Skis for Christmas but my mom got all upset and said that it was too much to ask Santa for, etc. etc. etc. I was kinda bummed but just shrugged it off. On Christmas morning I woke up around 5am, everyone else was still asleep but the tree was on - and there were skis there!!!!!!!! I was elated and I ran upstairs and told my parents. I've never lost that spirit of Christmas in me....I try to keep it alive. The other thing that I absolutely want to tear up over is those little brass angel thingies that have a white candle on them and when you light them, the heat from the candle makes the little brass mobile turn..... That's one of my first memories of Christmas!

1) When might it be kind more to be completely honest with someone?

When the effect of your honesty enhances the other person.

2) Has anything ever happened to you that you cannot explain (something you think was supernatural)?

not that i can think of....I LOVE supernatural ghosty stuff, but it scares the heck out of me so I can't watch those movies or read those books anymore. So I just stick to murder mysteries without all that unanswered stuff!

3) If you were a color, what would you be? Why?

Blue, not just any blue, THIS blue....#8294b4... it's attached - why? because I think it's the perfect mix of youth, aged, retro, new age...Something i'd like to be

4) What was the last book you read?

HP7, the one before that was Rita Mae Brown and Sneaky Pie Brown's Whisker of Evil.....

5) What was your nicest dream that you can remember?

I can't really remember any dreams right now - I have a hard time sleeping anyways so I don't think I dream too much anymore....But I do remember each Christmas, going to bed in my room, with lights on a mini tree, the heat on and just having that cozy feeling just before bed. I like that feeling when I go to sleep - warm, happy, sleepy, yummy smells, ahhhhhh

6) Who has had the most influence in your life?

I think my dad. he is a bit OCD and a handyman and I grew up seeing him obsess about perfecting things and not being happy until they were perfect. I remember writing a paper and him asking if that was good enough because each word slanted a little differently. So now I ask myself, is it good enough. He has a lot of common sense, something that i really don't have much of - but I can appreciate his knowledge and I look up to him. Like, I was building a shaker step stool for school; I measured and got ready to cut with the saw and he stopped me and asked where I was going to cut. I said on the line - he said, no cut on the opposite side of the line so you have exactly the amount you need on the other....

He's the only 70 year old I know that has more electronics than me and can speak a geek that I don't understand.

1.- ¿Do you to know MÃ[emoji]169[/emoji]xico?

I have no knowledge whatsoever about Mexico. At least not unless someone jogs my memory. I'll preface the rest of your questions with, 'coming from Northern Maine I grew up with French all around me and Spanish was not even offered.'

2.- ¿Wich part exactly?

??
3.- Can you speak spanish?

I took a Spanish class in a Gifted and Talented program once, I don't remember any of it though. It's a lot like Italian and Latin and I had to study that in music school so I can guess pretty well.

4.- Do you have some CD of Spanish music? do you like it?

I have none...I have some Quebec folk dances though

5.- Have you ever to watched a Mexican Movie? ( I mean with Spanish Dialogs?)

nope, just french ones.

6.-Do you like the Mexican Food?
( do you have any preference for example: burritos, Tacos, rice & beans, etc?)

I like burritos and tacos. There's a little restaurant down the road from me that makes a veggie burrito with sweet potato in it - i LOVE it.

7.-Do you like the Tequila?
...or else Mexican Alcoholic beverage?

I don't like Tequila, I don't like rum.. just wine and vodka. I used to drink Tequila Sunrises, but I just don't like the smokey flavor.

8.- Have you ever to sleeped in a hammock???

yes at a camp, it was nice for about an hour - then I had to go inside because of the bugs. I HAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE bugs.

9.- Have you ever to saw the traditional mexican clothes?

nope, not unless it's anything like movies.

10.- Do you to know Cancun Mexico? ( Is a beach)

I've heard of Cancun, but never been there. Actually my BIL and SIL just got back from Puerta Viarta for their honeymoon.

yes absolutely! i can hardly wait!

2. Do you watch TV? Any fav shows? Or stations you watch most? i watch some tv. my favorite shows are ask this old house and poirot

3. What is the best book you ever read, and tell us about it.
probably the lord of the rings. i really felt like a different person when i woke up the next day. i haven't really felt like that with any other book. Like, cleansed, renewed...

4. Where & how did you meet your DH? DH and I went to college together but we started talking in a philosophy class. He brought me breakfast once (i was, uh how do you say a po' college student living off campus. After that, the rest was history.

5. Are you the same age as your DH? If not, who's older? He's older, and i'll be 28 again this year and he'll turn 30.

***
Thought of a couple more:
6. What was your favorite class in college? my favorite class was environmental geology - plate tectonics, natural disasters....it was fabulous!

7. Least favorite?

green, i've just seen too much of it. I've seen so many bad green's in my life I swore up and down i'd never paint a room green. well i did - and i still hate it.

8. Why did you decide to go into Music?

i decided to go into music because i came from a small school and i was basically the schiznit on music. nobody else even studied an instrument in my school. Now I'm not going to deny that I'm at least average, but I think if I'd have gone to a bigger school, I may have been able to play on my other interests too and perhaps would have went into a career that didn't have to do with music. I regret it - not 100% but about 30%. Heck, my school was so behind the times that I never used email until 1997....i know it was around before that.

Piano Literature. The professor was a hag. She accused me of plagerizing (which I didn't do) and she had no idea what the homework amounts were that she was assigning. HOURS and HOURS for a class I didn't even need......

1.- Wich one is your favourite Genre of Music?

Trance

2.- How many Cd´s do you have?

not many, i sold most because i was broke in college. i probably have 20-30

3.- Wich one is your favourite singer Male?

Michael Hutchence

A close second/third are Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin
My favorite living singer probably is either Brad Paisley or Bono

4.- Wich one is your favourite singer Female?
You know, I thought and thought and I don't think I have one. At least not anyone that is my 'favorite'

5.- Have you ever to listened at http://www.rippingtons.com/ ?????

I hadn't, but just did. It's nice. I could play that in the background. Is their music mostly instrumental? I noticed their font on the left side of their page is a little 'trekkie'

6.- Do you have a CD collection? ( I mean for example all Cd´s from a determinate artist???

INXS

7.- Have you ever to participated in some Concert of your favourite artist?

I've never participated in any concerts, and i haven't been to very many. My DH on the other hand has participated in a Barry Manilow concert - he played sax for him.

8.- Do you have any preference to listen a Radio FM station???

I don't listen to FM because no stations around here play trance. So i listen to XM channel 82 - The System.

9.- In your own opinion wich one is better, a CD original from an artist or an MP3 collage of music without nothing of information?...

I think it depends on how much I like the artist. If i really really like the artist then I want to have a collection of their music, so I'll buy the cd. But if the songs are hit or miss with an artist, I'll download the mp3.

10.- Do you play some Musical instrument?
…

I play the piano.

Hello! I'm a Poirot fan too! Here are a few for your "little grey cells"!

1. My sister and I feel that Poitrot played by Mr. Suchet seems much more approachable and kind than the fellow in the books. What do you think?

2. One of my favorite things about the Poirot TV series is the wonderful set design. What do you like about them?

3. Do you have the Poirot collection on DVD? (My sister has been working on hers, with b-day and Christmas presents.)

4. Do you enjoy Ms. Christie's contemporaries: Marsh, Sayers, etc?
