Well, we had to go get cat food today, so went to petsmart, taking our two furbabies. The gal from Animal Aid, a volunteer organization, was there, and we talked to her about one of the orange females we saw before. To make a long story short, we ended up bringing home 2 torties to foster! One of them has a watery eye, I have some eye cream I have to put on it every 12 hrs. They're absolutely beautiful, I will get some pics when I get a chance!

Here they are!

They both have runny eyes, and apparently the one with more white was recently spayed, she still has stitches.

Not sure how old they are. I think the one with white is younger, possibly as young as 8 months. The other one seems somewhat calmer, she might be older, possibly even the mother of the light one. we haven't named them yet.

We need some name ideas. They're both females, of course.

I think I've decided on Mischief for the one with white (missy for short) and possibly Lady on the other one. She's still hiding under the couch.

I love Torties. You are so sweet for adopting two. What are their dispositions? Every Tortie we have met has had such a grateful disposition. Sweet cats as a rule. Their Italian Cousin Belle Roma says hello and yeah for people who rescue Torties!!

Lady seems rather shy so far, Mischief is somewhat living up to her name. Missy loves to eat, follows me around every time I go to the kitchen, and she won't stop clawing the couch arms

They are both beautiful, Marcy! What an angel you are to foster them. I've said it before, but that has to be one of the hardest jobs with rescue work. Letting them go to their forever homes, I mean.

Here's a thread that dealt with a similar issue of a cat/kitten scratching on the furniture. Perhaps it can give you some ideas for helping Missy with this. http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...ratching+couch

I'm sure they will be well taken care of with you. They both look gorgeous.
